Yes debit loads are fine. After serve card swipe, when the cashier enters the amount it says transaction not allowed both on the pin pad at my end and as well on cashier's screen.

I've never messed with the discover card. I'm loading with $1K Simon MCGC. Where do you load discover card and will my Simons work?

you meant paying with Simon GC... for a MO? If so, how much could you pay or liquidate with Simon Mastercard at 1 time?

for Discover, you likely should visit / read up some on that thread

Sorry, I meant to ask if its possible to load a discover card with the Simon MCGC. I'm currently doing Simom MCGC swipes at 475 for MOs and was doing 500 for serve loads

DP: 3 of the 4 FD near me use the new pinpads and can load my serve normally. I'm in the Mid-Atlantic region.

So the issue may be pinpad configuration at certain stores

Welcome to Flyetalk! Not a new account, but the first post, a throwaway account? :-)

I am Mid-Atlantic too and do not and had the same DP. Maybe a POS software update we have not gotten yet? I hope not.

All 4 FD in my area loaded Serve normally today. FD manager said he contacted corporate and they fixed the Serve loading issue. I'd consider politely asking your FD manager to contact corporate about the Serve loading issue in your area

I tangentially noticed two FDs were unable to accept paper check payments due to a register/POS issue.

Lucky you. I have politely asked just to accept Serve loading. They don't even accept cash for loading. Bunch or weirdos in FD around me.

I just loaded my new green serve card at Walmart. There is a pending charge for the monthly fee of $9.95. Is this normal for a new account? I thought the fee was charged at the end of month. Thanks

According to many DPs, if you spend down your Green Serve card to a zero balance by the end of the month, Amex doesn't charge you the fee.
So, if you loaded $25 onto your serve card, see if you can spend that balance down to zero before the end of the month.
I believe a pending charge is just what it says, a debit that has not yet hit your account. If there is no money in the account to pay for it, either it gets rolled over to come off of the next deposit, or...as people claim, it just goes away, to be replaced by another pending charge

Let us know how you do, please.
