A few years now. What consider is "unusual activities" to you? I use all those cards with my regular purchases and bill pay as I go.

DP: Someone loaded $500 before me at two Family Dollars. The computer system accepts my Serve card, 2x$200 gedits, and then on the last $100 swipe, it completely freezes for 5 minutes. Do you guys recommend asking the cashier if someone else already loaded before loading?

I wouldn’t and just ask to re-attempt after 10 minutes!

Oh, sorry I meant they loaded and left 15 minutes before I got to the stores.

So loading Serve at FD is pretty much dead to me. Went to another FD and they also said loads are cash only "because too many people try to scam us." This is another FD where I had no problem loading Serve a couple of weeks ago.

Again went to one of my regular grocery stores afterward and had to liquidate via MO. On the way I tried a DG which was also cash only.

Thankfully I live in VA where there are still some decent options for grocery MO (especially the farther out you get from DC where there's less MS)

Is loading serve at FD YMMV?I was able to load at 2 different FD recently while was turned down at WM.

It's certainly become that way for me in my area at least. Never had a problem before (and FD takes everything, including Vanilla - never tried multiple swipes but $500 always worked fine).

Easier for me these days to drive to one of dozens of grocery stores and unload via MO. I may try my regular FD again - sounds like nothing is hardcoded but either this is a local policy change or some cashiers making up the "cash only" rule.

can/should you tell them that FD doesn’t officially impose “cash only” policy?

Arguing with cashiers about what is or isn't allowed at these tiny stores with a singe or two cash registers is one of the surest ways to get yourself banned and to shut down the site altogether.

If one cashier says no, accept it as fact, leave and wait until another cashier comes on duty ;)

Does anyone buy GC with Amex and reload serve with that GC?

Anyone on here successfully signed up for a new serve card in the last say 6 months?
I have tried for 4 different people, all at the end being unable to approve at this time. Of course myself and p2 were shutdown years ago, but I have been using p3 and p4 that are still open.
I have tried different computers, IP's incase mine is blacklisted, and of course emails, ph, and addresses are different. Just having no luck and I know at least two of the friends I'm trying to help have clean records as far as amex is concerned.

I saw some comments on reddit about amex is very strict with that MS route. is it true?

I was approved about a month ago.

I had the same issue trying to get more cards for P4 or P5, gave up got nothing approved (about 2 months ago)
