FD charging a $3.95 load fee today at multiple locations in my area for loading Amex Serve. Anyone else running into this? I loaded multiple Serve cards at FD on Oct 30th without any fee. Not sure when this change took place.

I was also charged $3.95 fee at FD today. It says Vanilla Reload fee on the receipt. Last load was on 11/8 and no fee was charged then.
I can confirm that JUST last weekend, on 11/7, I was NOT charged a fee. |
One VIP 3.95 fee on 11/14
Also adding that I was charged the 3.95 fee today, with the receipt saying vanilla reload. Here’s to hoping this is just a glitch…

DG serve loads is working again. not sure when it started, but just tried it with a $500 US Bank VGC and it worked.
Original post saying it's dead is wrong now. I successfully reloaded at DG with a vanilla gift card from Safeway and WAS NOT charged the 3.95 fee! |

so after being charged 3.95 at 2 FDs on my One VIP, I saw this comment and figure I’d give it a try.

Can you use Simon VGC at DG for loading Serve?

According to their fees page https://www.serve.com/legal/free-rel...-agreement#10a

New to FD loads, can you split tender to use 200 staples GC to get to 500?

Yes, you can. Just pay with the first one, and then continue. You don't have to tell the cashier anything.

I called Family Dollar about the 3.95 charge. They said that they recently received an email about this, stating that if a customer calls about the charge, to collect the receipt number, and someone will call back. According to the rep, there was no indication in this email whether the charge is a mistake or not. So keep your receipts everybody.
|
hi did you call the corporate or local FD store? I also called serve but they said I should call FD because the fee was taken by FD, anyway I don’t think I will reload there before this was sorted out
