Any promotions going on for existing Plastiq users better than the normal 2.5% they charge?
Need to pay off some minimum spends with Amex (100k Plat (Personal), 75k Plat (MB) and 50k PRG Biz).

Referring new users will get you some amount of fee-free payments (i've seen offers up to $400 per).

Also, for now, MC payments have 2% fee (as opposed to the normal 2.5%).

You can select utility on Plastiq and it will be utility category. Here is how it codes on Citi and Barclays MC:
UTILITIES-ELECTRIC,GAS,SANITARY,WATER

I tried a plastiq payment on my 3% Huntington MC (utilities selected as 3%). Able to pay a loan that I labeled as "Utilities" and it coded it as such.

My wife just got the AMEX Platinum and we want to use her card to pay the mortgage to get the 100K MR ASAP. I tried adding her card to my Plastiq account (which I've had since the beginning), but it wouldn't accept. I then created her own Plastiq account and tried adding the card to that, again without success. Is our next step to call AMEX and tell them we want to us the card for a billpay service?

I would think your next step is to communicate with Plastiq (which takes patience). I have the DL branded Plat Amex attached to my account with no issue so I can't imagine it's a AE issue(though I could be wrong). Also, if you are using the app v. the web version I would not use the app it seems problematic at best.

I've used multiple Amex cards with Plastiq in the past and recently added my new Plat to meet minimum spend with a rent payment. Payment hasn't been triggered yet but the card was added with no problem.

so you guys do points calculators... is plastiq worth it for rent/car payments?

how much monthly would the 3% charge even out with points?

Depends what card you use, if it's a bonus category, how much you value points, if it's for minimum spend, etc. Have to determine yourself if it's worth the fee.

I haven't tried, but I don't see why not. I haven't had issues with any Amex, Visa, or MC that I tried.

They didn't for any card I have used. If you are afraid of that, set the cash advance limit on whatever card you are using to $0. It should reject any attempt at cash advances after that.
