Man - Walgreens and Emerald are both being sticky about giving me my moneys back!

I really prefer getting shut down by the big boys in this regard.

Have you filed a CFPB complaint yet?

Damn you guys are pretty mean.

Anyway is there anyone that did *not* get shut down for MO deposits? I'm trying to split my deposits over multiple CUs but each one wants a hard pull

Is it still ok to use MOs at Chase to do in-branch direct payment of Chase cards?

I got a nice letter from Dollar Bank over the weekend informing me that my checking account would be closed in 20 days "due to being unable to service your banking needs."
The letter was from my local branch manager, not a national address.
I had been depositing between 3k and 5k per month in MOs, for about the last year.

What if I'm using Chase CC's for RB, then using the bill pay. Have mult RB, so I'm using different one's for different CC's to try and make it better. Chance of getting shut down on this type of practice?

I think you should be fine if you pay chase CC directly at branch.

How did you do your deposits -- mobile or physical branch?

All deposits made at an ATM at the branches. Never used the online deposit.

When I went in to the branch yesterday to get my balance out and pre-emptively close the account, the manager told me she was ordered by headquarters to close the account because I had only used ATMs and online bill payment, and had never used tellers. I really know it's because of a suspicious pattern of activity, but they never said that.

What did you do with Barclays? They are more tolerant to MS than most banks.

Seriously. I'd like to know as well. From the amount and volume of charges and payments I do with my Barclays cards, it seems like it's impossible to get shutdown with them.

There's no credible reports of anyone having been shut down from Redbird due to MS (manufactured spending). These reports (replicated on some other blogs also around the same time) turned out to have been fake...I'll add most likely, to be technically correct, since it's impossible to prove that an anonymous fake report on the internet about something like this was actually a fake report.

I'm sure there's been shut downs due to fraud etc that we'd normally not hear about on MS forums/blogs.
