Sure sounds like Chase is the bad guy in this thread.

Are they shutting down more of us, or is it just the biggest loss for most of us?

I've lost quite a few accounts, and Chase remains to be the most important.

Says something. Now that I'm back in, I'll never visit a branch; never open a bank account.

If they change the terms of your credit card you can refuse the new terms in writing. Your account will then allow no new charges and the balance must be paid according to the original terms.

you guys must DEF be doing something wrong with Chase because I've used and abused them worse than a hooker and not a peep

I've also done the same with Barclay.

it's like 50 shades of grey with them & me

Went to my local Private Client branch and they basically got the same runaround from the deposit, credit, and fraud departments as I have been getting over the phone.

The word now is that I am banned from using Chase Online but my credit accounts will stay open. They setup paper statements and I will have to now push payments and redeem UR over the phone.

I'm not sure if I should press the matter. My CSP is worthless but the Freedom obviously is a keeper. They gave me the contact info for the EO and I may see if they can restore my online access to the credit accounts.

I'm so confused...they didn't get you for selling UR, but got you for what, the Social Security thing you had to file with them????

I believe they got me for churning checking account bonuses. I don't see any other cases where Chase closed down deposit accounts but left the credit accounts untouched. Usually it is the other away around.

Now a different message shows up when trying to login:

We're sorry - we suspended your access to chase.com because of recent activity on your account. Please call us at one of the following numbers, depending on the account you have:

If churning checking accounts is what they got you for, from past history your CCs aren't far behind.

Seems like half of the shutdowns with chase involve the presence of a checking account with them???

If I had to guess, the issue is people who (A) have a checking account with them and (B) use that account and the Chase CC for MS cycling.

Yea, I guess it seems obvious when you MS 5k , and then mysteriously have 5K show up (BB + MO+ RB) in the chase checking account 1-3 days later. And then you do this several times a month.

My discover more card also closed last week. Only abnormal, I used their balance transfer frequently. I had 450 cb, not losing it. They are sending a check. I have new miles card. Still active but not counting it to last.

Could they have seen something on your credit report that they didn't like, either during a new app or a routine check?

What are the ways to stay under the radar to avoid this? Direct deposit, monthly deposits, odd quantity deposits etc?

I was told "account activity" on my letter......I havent signed up for a new account in over a year. Maybe some routine check, but I doubt it. They're really a bunch of aholes during the whole process. No communication whatsoever.
