CVS now $5k/day

It is Monday not Tuesday people.

It would be nice if others would also share useful "replacement" information. It's better to be kind than selfish, and as far as I'm concerned, if you're willing to read through this insanely long thread, you've exerted enough effort to be "worthy" of assistance.

If you buy OVs, you get around the problem of cashiers objecting, because they are not GCs and do not say "Gift" on them.

another sad CVS song - a throwback but a classic one:

That's great, it starts with a fraud mistake
Bluebirds and serves, and free tickets on an aeroplane
Lenny Bruce is not afraid

Eye of a CC hurricane, listen to yourself AOR and churn
CVS serves it's own needs, don't mis-serve your own needs
Feed it up a knock by MSing hard while you can with speed, grunt, strength
No doing structuring, clatter with fear of credit line height, or MS fright

Running to stores like on fire, representing seven CC games in a
Government form we need to fill out for hire and a combat site left my clerk
and she Wasn't going to sell anymore on a CC with the
Furies of MSing this weekend breathing down your neck

Team by team reporters baffled, trump, tethered, blogs
Look at that other store, fine, then
Uh, oh, overflow of desperate MSers, population, common group
But it'll do, save yourself, serve yourself

CVS serves it's own needs and when it goes cash only you listen to your heart bleed
Tell me with the rapture and the revered and the right
Right you vitriolic, patriotic, slam, fight, bright light
Feeling pretty unpsyched

It's the end of the VR world as we know it
It's the end of the VR world as we know it
It's the end of the VR world as we know it
And I feel fine

No, tell him that you approve of the policy and that you are coming over with $5k in dollar coins to comply as soon as it is implemented.

MM - you picked the wrong song - the correct song lyrics are "Go, go, go, go, go, go, go, run away from the Coinado!":p

Lets go, go, go, with a Coinado!:p

And what about the $39.50 fee? I hope you weren't even thinking about using a card for that!

i think if cvs really goes cash only for vrs, everyone here should go get rolled coins and buy a few vr with them. All on april 1.

Imagine buying 2 or 10 vr with coins? It would send a message and to me, it would be well worth the vr fee to do so lol

Pay the fee in pennies.

Some of us have never had the opportunity to be coddled by CVS and beans as there were none in our State.

We have watched and read with envy....and then trudged off to WM and stood in lines with handfuls of GC.

Welcome to the real world.

Try not to hold the lines up.;)

Ooooh, you have Walmarts, luxury! We have to sell the gift cards on street corners when the lights turn red.

This is the most entertaining thread I have ever read. Keep it up!

other threads thoroughly cover replacements

On a side note, of course this memo would start circulating during the weekend when I don't have time to pay down my credit card balances...lol. Well at least I had enough for 1 day of VRs.

beachfan Mar 30, 2014 10:56 am

Other than the float, what is the down side of holding on to the VR for a month? I already bought the max that I can load in April, was thinking of buying more today.

I found one report on the web of someone buying a card without a pin, which he felt was a scam, but only one. I suppose waiting a month would be an issue in that case, is it prudent to check to make sure the PIN is there?

The odds are always stacked against you. Let me know when the next time you plan to finally jump onboard on another MS. I'll be sure to avoid it :p.

Well worth $39.50 to see the expressions at the store when I come in with the roller bags. Would bring joy to my heart to partially relive the days of the mint when I was hauling up to $75k a day to the banks.:D
