Likewise, no fees charged when my balance was zero. This is in contrast to Suntrust, which deducted fee from my account even tho my balance was 0 and even gave me a "margin call" to ask me to pay up on the spot.Originally Posted by ddallas
So you had a zero balance for a couple months and they didn't try to charge a monthly fee?
I keep getting the unable to load error. I'm using a Chase SW Business Visa. From a period of 11/13/12 to 11/21/12 I loaded $4300 onto my WF using two other Chase cards.
I don't understand why it won't work now? I should be past the 30 day $4500 rolling limit correct?

Perhaps your CA limit is lower on that card than the amount you are trying to load?Originally Posted by compddd

I'm trying to load $1000
I tried it on my new SW Personal and Business cards tonight, each of them have a $1000 cash advance limit and both of them failed.
Last month I did a $1000 load on my Sapphire Preferred without any issue and that card has a $1000 cash advance limit as well.
From reading this thread, if the add funds option disappears, it means my account is under review for too many failed load attempts. Although it still lets me attempt to load funds over the phone, but it's failing there too.
Do you think that could be what's preventing it from going through now? My account being under review?

Maybe. You don't have more than $4000 on the card (before the failed load), do you? Maximum load appears to be $5000.
Have you been using the card for anything else, or just loading a bunch, then quickly withdrawing what was loaded?

Haven't used it for anything else, and haven't loaded anything on it for more than a month.
I just called WF and they said my account is closed until they complete their security review since I had so many failed loads. Ugh what a mess.

I had a few failed loads and called in to find out why since I thought the max balance was $5,000. Apparently, you can only load $4,500 every 30 days.

Yeah my problem was I tried too many times until I figured out my CCs only have $1000 cash advance limit.
Do you think they'll re-open my account once they complete their review? It was an honest mistake on my part and that's what I told the rep over the phone.

When you try to LOAD $1,000 onto the card, you're CHARGING $1,005 to your credit card. Therefore, on a Chase card, if your CA limit is $1,000 the transaction will be declined for lack of available credit. Logically, $995 should work. Not rocket science. Originally Posted by compddd

The weird thing is though, my Sapphire Preferred has $1000 cash advance limit and I charged $1000 to it with the WF and it came through as $1005 and didn't get declined. Any ideas? Maybe the $5 fee isn't coded as cash advance?
