But what kinds of things the family does with those 4 accounts might possibly be relevant. Just possibly.

just like you do, that is send and receive $1k monthly. if you try to do it over 1k, it won't work and your account is CLOSED! so be careful!

Indeed AP done wrong can be as entertaining as tap dancing through the Korean DMZ minefield.:p

Maybe I've said this before (ok, I have) BUT if the lions patrolling the jungle don't like a couple sharing dinner, why would they be ok with n>2 sharing dinner? Loops are loops.

Doesn't matter what they like, matters if you get caught, or not ;)

Dave, you're such a dork. Everyone knows AP is monitored about as closely as a soup kitchen.

Amazon is safe

Amazon is the safest program out there. Better than paypal, netspend, serve.
Bluebird will be the best once the growing pains are worked out and the vanillas get distributed across mainstream companies. Give it 3 months and they will be everywhere.

Everyone in the mileage game should have at least 1 amazon and bluebird account for each member of the family and move the maximum $1K on amazon each month and $2.5K+ per month through BB.

Yup, right until you get banned from the service

Hey JFKLAX - your soupkitchen just started to ask for birthdates before allowing transactions to continue. Maybe they are giving senior citizen discounts for soup?:p

Isn't this the same as everything else? Fly below the radar and you'll be fine. Bring attention to yourself and you're asking for trouble. Sometimes less is more...

I've been paying my wife close to $1000 each month via AP. We're just a pure and simple A-->B setup, she never sends me anything. She just got two new cc's, would it be too risky for me to use them and pay her from my AP acct? Or should I refrain from sending her anything for a while and just reverse our setup to B-->A until she meets her minimums?

My father and I have been doing something similar to you but we literally each transfer up to the $1000 each month to each other than withdraw it and transfer back through a bank transfer. I know a lot of people don't like the A-->B-->A method but in reality we make all of the charges look different AND since we withdraw the money and send it back through a bank transfer AMZ never see's it. Plus we NEVER do the same amount(s) each month and always have a valid description for the payment. Any time either of us have a new credit card to hit a spend we add it to the payment list and use it. **We have also had some legit payments to each other with a receipt to back it up if we ever got called out on something**

This is just what we do so you can choose to do what you want. I've never had an issue thus far.

I have done this successfully with an A>B>C>A scenario with no problems.

To ensure compliance with federal law, Amazon Payments requires that you provide certain information. Enter information now.
Logged into my accounts today and every one has that above even though I've entered all those info before.

caGALINDO Dec 12, 2012 6:38 am

Its not required they just make it 'look' required.

sam_goh Dec 12, 2012 7:42 am

lol..... so I tried to do a payment last night while I was tired and fat fingered the expiration on my discover. Tried to do it a few times and got payments failed and discover account locked after the 3rd try.

So this morning, discover calls, and we are trying to get everything squared away. Rep also says "oh btw, I've noticed you haven't used your card in a long time....." I'm bracing for the cancellation or stern notice but she goes on to say "just wanted to ask why you picked your card today, is it for the rewards?" After affirming that she continues "ok just so you know you are signed up for 5% cashback this quarter for department stores and online purchases, so anything you do through Amazon or Paypal will get you cash back this quarter".

Why thank you ma'am! :)
