The only transactions that take place through AP are:

1. Send your spouse $1K AS GOODS/SERVICES, funded by credit card
2. Spouse withdraw $1K into her linked bank account

Now your spouse has an extra $1K in her bank account. Use that money to pay your credit card. This is done entirely outside of Amazon payments. She can directly pay your card, write you a check, transfer the funds to your checking account if your accounts are linked, or however you guys generally would consolidate funds.

I don't bother using different IPs religiously, but it's probably safer.

@roki:
This is great. I can do it. No prob.

We both obtained a CC - we both need to meet the spend requirements.

So once the step 1, and 2 are completed, can it be repeated again from spouse to me? Or not wise?

Not wise. That is the A > B > A transfer that is more likely to get you flagged. You might be fine, but might not.

I like helping out newbies, but even after copy pasting the relevant part from the wiki I am at a loss to understand why you keep asking this. You are essentially trying to do A (you) -> B (wife) -> A (you).

^ right?

Also, UA Fan, not sure if you saw my reply in the recent flood of posts, but if you have a Serve account, you should jump on that promo.

Yes, saw it. Thanks.

Having some trouble reaping the promo. Can't send the $ to Serve (no Serve email address/AP acct, just an acct #) and can't withdraw it to Serve, so how does one DD from AP to Serve?

Figured it out: withdraw it to Serve acct.

Is this something to worry? Mom wanted to send me $490, so since this was her first time first sent me $15 which went through and then $475. I see this:

Pending

We are unable to complete your transaction until further review. It can take up to 24 hours to complete this transaction. We apologize for any inconvenience this delay may cause.
Something to worry about?

not really - a lot of us (including myself) have seen this message. The payment usually goes through within 24 hours.

How long does it take to add cash from your bank account to AP? I intiated $500 from my regular bank account on the 15th and so far nothing has happened. It is a verified account.
