Every rumor and every finding about future openings of new resorts in one of the brands founded by legendary hotelier and Aman-founder Adrian Zecha.

The main part of the thread is about upcoming Aman resorts: the brand, with which Zecha invented the highly personalized luxury resort concept 30 years ago - which was then taken over from Zecha by russian entrepreneur Vladislav Doronin in 2015. Furthermore we discuss future openings of GHM, where Zecha seems still to hold share. Ahn Luh is a chinese luxury chain which is advised by Zecha, and Azerai is Adrian Zechas own new brand, which he categorizes as "affordable luxury".

- Amanalula, Saudi Arabia, three resorts in the desert, opening announced for 2023. Together with the Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU), Aman will develop three distinct resorts of architectural excellence in North West Saudi Arabia, in AlUla, a place of very special natural and human heritage. - Aman Canouan at the tiny southern Caribbean Island of Canouan, which is famous for its pink sand beaches. It is part of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Currently, Canouan is only hosting a Mandarin Oriental, with a Soho House and the Aman supposedly following up.

Doronin looking out for location, saying in an interview with Bangkok Post: "My real estate company, Oko Group, is headquartered in Miami where we are developing several luxury residential towers, so we know the city very well. - Ahn Luh Yanqi Beijing, "scheduled to open in Autumn 2017". Located at the foot of Yanshan Mountains, Hairou District, 60 km northeast from Beijing City Centre. The Yanqi Lake scenic area is one popular vacation area of Beijing. The Ahn Luh Yanqi is designed by brillant Japanese architect Tadao Ando. Interior designers are Japanese designer Akihiro Wakasa of HBA (Hirsch Bedner Associates) together with Agnes Affandy who inherited renowned interior designer Jaya Ibrahim’s design style.

Long story in Bangkok Post about Doronin and his future Aman plans, where he interestingly mentioned plans for an Amanmiami for the first time: "My real estate company, Oko Group, is headquartered in Miami where we are developing several luxury residential towers, so we know the city very well. Miami has become increasingly sophisticated and and an Aman would fit well in this gateway city".

Also, he repeats his Aman-plans for London, Paris, Hong Kong and Singapore. Especially in SIN, a true luxury hotel is desperately needed!

Finally he is telling about adding pools to 6 rooms at Amanpuri plus new bar, ildren club etc. pp.

I think you have to discount all the Amanresorts projects that were mooted or even started by Adrian Zecha when he was in charge.
Some of the owners involved did not want to work with the new Aman, which is why you now have projects, such as Aman Kea, now being progressed as One&Only.
The new Aman is much more interested in city sites and, perhaps, more conventional destinations.
I doubt very much if Gabon will ever go ahead, or Jordan, as both projects relied heavily on the relationship between owners and Zecha.

would be interesting if these kinds of properties could have 2 dining buildings, one that allows nonguests and one that does not, and not allowing nonguests anywhere else. separate buildings and where they are located on property could really handle this well. could do same with spa, have 2 separate ones, or just not have same facilities/access for nonguests. or spa pool vs main pool.
