Hello altogether,

I want to introduce me as a new member (but an old visitor :-) of this forum.

As a kind of "entry card" I want to show You a website with pictures of an "Eco Resort in West Africa":

http://www.trendhunter.com/trends/we...co-retreat-spa

If it´s not an Aman - what else could it be ???

I am looking forward to hear your opinion about that...

Despite the fact that it appears your account is 'suspended' and I'm not sure if you'll see this, those pictures look amazing! Definitely need to investigate this some more..

75 villas and 200 residences ensure that this will NOT be an Aman - too big. Could be a GHM, though, although 200 residences? Even for GHM, that is BIG.

www.amanduna.com will now link you directly to the main amanresorts website. No more details there yet.

Probably posted under a second identity and got busted...

I also think the pictures are interesting, but I cringe when they build a monstrosity like this and call it an 'eco resort'. Come on, the impact this place and places like it have on our planet is significant.

I'm not saying places like this are bad, I love to stay at them.

Just be honest, it's a luxury resort - nothing eco about it except they destroyed part of Africa's 'eco'logy to build it...

The first high-end hotel on the Iberican Peninsula, using recycled and eco-friendly materials and preserving the local landscape and its ecology.

Private and exclusive, the resort will be set in 8 hectares, with 40 guest accommodations and 36 residences, plus a 1,800 sq metre spa, 2 restaurants and 4 tennis courts.

Something is missing on that map. It's called "ocean"...

I definitely would like to know, why it's not on the beach?!?

Promising Sneak into Aman Vietnam Location

Gallivanter's found this link: http://peterminhle.wordpress.com/

It shows the construction site of Aman Vinh Hay, which is built in Nui Chua National Park, one hour south of Nha Trang/Cam Ranh Airport, or a very scenic six hours drive north of Saigon.

It is 90 minutes from the Six Senses Ninh Van Bay, which has a really fantastic setting, but sadly like all Six Senses some awfully rustic features like non-isolated bathrooms full of bugs and other animals...

So I am really looking forward to Aman Vietnam a lot. Judging from the fotos in the above blog, I would expect a mid-2013-opening.

Not knowing much about Aman Porto Heli, I am curious to find out how this resort will differ from Amanruya. These two resorts seem so close, physically and I wonder how the sites and the desgins will differ.

Thanks for the link. If those construction photos are recent, there is no way this opens in March of 2012. I guess I was hoping to see some pictures of the interiors of actual villas so that I could compare them to the pictures of the cottages at Amanruya. I guess we will just have to wait for those...
