True. But it must be galling to forego all those high-value guests from LA and Silicon Valley. Expect that is the draw for Aman.

US amex plat FHR now get 5x points , prepaid but can cancel
(not sure re cent) US agents can book FHR for their clients
recently mentioned in flyertalk's american express forum

rosewood venice was a private residence until sold in last year

I’m always surprised when I recall that the St Regis brand really began in 1999 when the second St Regis opened in DC. That’s pretty young!
