I agree! We had a Borobodur Pool Suite on the front row about a third of the way from the right side where the Amanjiwo Suite/Villa is located. The privacy was fantastic (though when on the front row, locals and staff working in the fields can potentially see onto your deck, FWIW).

Thanks for all your comments
Swisshotel the Stamford has a special rate to secure a room with a view towards the Padang (SG50 National Day Premium package / parade & fireworks view).
Actually I have not tried to reach GM of Amankila & Amanjiwo.
We booked an ocean suite at Amankila as we will probably spend most of our time by the main pools & beach club. At Amanjiwo we booked the Dalem Jiwo suite, pictures look stunning and choice was obvious We really loved our stay at Amanbagh last year for its remote location and the atmosphere. I expect Amanjiwo to offer similar experience, am I right?
We'll spend one night only at Peninsula Manila, it was booked directly by Amanpulo. Is it really that bad, shall we ask to move?

Write up no matter what..... I've never stayed but I enjoy the newsletters the GM Ari puts together. Seems like a savvy fella.

Heading to Beijing for this first time this March, and have booked a three night stay in a suite at the Fairmont Beijing. Looks like a beautiful hotel, and the reviews have been great! Looking forward to it

Just arrived at Amanjiwo. Did I say that it is an absolutely stunning resort. Even after having stayed at or visited 12 other Amans, this is simply an exceptional experience !

My favorite Aman, and one of my top 2 hotel experiences ever. I envy you! Take the bike ride around the local villages if you get the chance--I normally hate that but it was pure magic, especially seeing and meeting the local villagers. And of course you will absolutely love Borobodur.
