Will be flying LH from TXL-FRA, connecting to SQ from FRA to SIN, on two different PNRs in Jan 2011. Is 1h15m likely to be an adequate time to make this connection in winter? Are TXL or FRA susceptible to weather delays at this time of year?
Also, will I be able to check my baggage through from TXL-SIN, or will I have to recheck at FRA?

If you can't through check your baggage there's little chance of making this connection.
Even if it's possible to through check baggage I wouldn't attempt this connection myself on two separate PNRs.

You will most likely arrive in Terminal 1 A and your SQ flight will leave from B. There is a tunnel between A and B and it would take you around 15-20 min to get to the B gates.
Even if your flight from TXL would be on an apron position you would be bussed to B that would be even closer.
Additionally you do not have to clear security again so the only "bottleneck" is immigration!

You also asked if TXL or FRA are susceptible to weather delays in January...you do know that winter is the time of year when it snows, right?

I have a similar question, so I figured I would just post it here.
I have *G status and I would be taking SQ25 FRA-SIN in J departing at 1235. Is it possible to check in at the airport the night before and hang around in the transit area before the SEN lounges open the next morning? I would be travelling in from Berlin via Deutsche Bahn and I would prefer not to have to spend the night at Sheraton in FRA. Thanks!

If you insist on sleeping at the airport there's this website:
http://www.sleepinginairports.net/europe/frankfurt.htm
Frankfurt Airport publishes a leaflet called "Your overnight stay in FRA" and lists rest areas with divan beds but I think these are probably airside and may not be of use to you:
T1, between Area B and C, Level 3
T1, CD-Pier, Levels 2 and 3
T2, Areas D and E, Level 3

I'm arriving HKG-ZRH-FRA on LH (LX F connecting to LH C), and connecting to AB (FRA-TXL) on a rail-and-fly ticket (overnight in Berlin Mitte, train the next day to Leipzig). Yes, I know, shouldn't mix tickets, well, the arrival for FRA is mid-morning; departure is mid-afternoon (so a 5-ish hour layover). Oh, and the whole combo was 64 euros. I figure if things go completely pear-shaped to the point where I miss the AB flight I'll just swallow hard and buy a DB ticket to Berlin.
So...
- Since I'll have cooled my heels a bit in ZRH's FCL already (and this will be a Schengen flight) and my return flight to home (FRA-SEA) is also in F and would be eligible for the whole FCT/car ride etc. thing, I may skip the FRA FCL*- I have other things in FRA I'd like to see. If I don't, though, are the ZRH flights in A, and close to the A lounge/LH Welcome lounge or train into the city, or sort of randomly scattered through T1, or even remote standed?
- Realistically, when should I arrive at FRA T2 for a midafternoon weekday domestic departure? Is the terminal a zoo at that hour? Does AB have stupid long lines for checkin at that point (I'll have "you peon" status)? I may have to check a bag (since AB is rather draconian on carryon rules- ONE item, even though I plan to travel just using carryons). I realize I'll need to reclear security, and apparently AB will need to print my rail ticket for me at the checkin desk (since mailing it to me isn't going to work- I'll have been out of the country for weeks by the time it gets there). I know AB's guideline is "45 minutes"- just need to know if I should pad that some.
- I'm thinking if I do the reverse going home, buy an AB rail/fly combo and take the train from Leipzig to Berlin my last day in Germany, and then use another cheap AB flight, that I should arrive in FRA the night before on the AB late flight and crash at a nearby airport hotel? The alternative is about a 2.5 hour connection, and having to possibly claim luggage AND schlep terminals in short order (ugh), plus getting to TXL at oh-dark-hundred for an early flight... plus the risk of once again things going pear-shaped (and while missing the AB flight to TXL would suck, missing the LH flight to SEA is a non-starter and simply cannot happen).
* I realize they may revoke my "US DM LH Experience Maximizer card" for this. I can live with that.

Anything wrong with the direct train FRA-Leipzig and Leipzig-FRA?

I'm afraid I don't know anything about FRA T2.
Your other question seems to be this:

I'm afraid I don't know anything about FRA T2.
But hey, maybe someone flies one of Germany's OTHER airlines (inferior to LH though they might be, at least at FRA ) and goes through FRA T2 on a domestic flight. (I've actually arrived and flown out of T2- flew DL DTW-FRA and KL FRA-AMS. I wish the DL lounge was still there- it was quite nice. And I preferred DL in Y to LH in Y.)
I'm mostly just concerned if midafternoon on a weekday is rush hour in that part of the terminal- huge lines and so on. I travel light and move quickly, but knowing if I need to pad my schedule would be nice.
The Welcome Lounge (#5 on this map) is more or less on the way to the S-Bahn station.

Yes. I want to go to Berlin as part of my trip to Germany. (I plan on hitting Dresden, too, but I can do that as a day trip while staying in Leipzig for the festival I'm attending there.) I realize a couple of days there bookending my time in Leipzig won't be enough to get much more than a taste, but I can always come back. I've spent a decent amount of time in western Germany (the surrounding area of Frankfurt/Mainz/Taunus, the NRW in Koeln and Duesseldorf, going up the Rhine, even), but I'd like to hit Eastern Germany on this trip.
Anyway, you can't book rail&fly on AB in connection with a domestic ticket.
Enjoy the WGF and the great city of Leipzig.

It might be wise to avoid calling Berlin "Eastern Germany" at least as long as you will stay west of the Brandenburg Gate.
And Leipzig and Dresden are most certainly not part of the former West Berlin...

There are normally no "huge lines" at the Air Berlin check in counter. And even if you're late, there is a thing called "fast track" at T2, which basically is a security lane dedicated for people on flights leaving soon so it is not for business pax etc...if you are leaving from T2 do not forget that you have to take a shuttle train or bus from T1 which takes about 10 min!
