I'm looking at some flights LHR-MUC-ATH for this summer and wouldn't mind an afternoon in Munich, if a long connection could provide that. Would a 9 hour connection give me enough time to get into the city centre and explore a bit? First flight lands 10:15AM and second flight leaves at 7:20PM. I could take an even earlier flight out of LON that would allow 9.5 hours.

That itinerary allows you ample time to have lunch in the city and take a nice afternoon stroll before heading back to the airport. You do not need to leave London any earlier in order to do that.

FLR->MUC, MUC->PRG. 55 min connection, both on Air Dolomiti. Only in PRG for 48 hours, so don't want to miss connection. Have option of ZRH connection all on LX with 1:45, but MUC option gets me into PRG around 16:00 instead of 21:00, giving us a real evening. Thoughts?

Hello, I’m flying LHR-MUC-SFO. Will I need to clear customs/passport control upon arriving in MUC from LHR?
i’ll be traveling with a cat in cabin so also wondering if there are any additional measures needed if we need to clear passport control. The Lufthansa agent on the phone was less than helpful.

No immigration, you just change gates in MUC. You may be selected for additional security before the the SFO gate.

I am flying ORD-MUC-CPT on Friday with a 6+ layover in. MUC. I am not an experienced international traveler so hoping to get some advice and confirmation.
-- My bags will be checked all the way through to CPT, correct? I just returned from a different trip and had to collect luggage and recheck after immigration. I don't think that is the same situation here but would like to confirm.
-- I have over 6 hours in the airport. I am technically a single traveler but my sister and her family are also traveling with me. I have lounge access (business class/no status), they do not. What lounges do you recommend for an afternoon layover? I have time to go anywhere and I may be switching terminals. What other things at the airport or near by should we check out?
