I’m currently in MUC SEN lounge in H on a long layover. Arrived in K so tried to go to the K11 SEN lounge but it was closed due to a water damage. Again? I went up to L but didn’t even try the L11 lounge as the whole concourse was deserted. How long have these lounges been closed?

If I remember correctly, when I was last there on Dec. 18, the sign outside the lounge near L11 said closed from Dec. 16 or so.

But notices next to the one above state the K11 lounge should be open between 5am and 10pm today (26 December) and the rest of the week until Friday.

That’s great to hear, as I like that one much more than the one in H.

I also prefer the L lounge to the H lounge. That’s why I tried to go there yesterday. It may only be open during morning/early afternoon banks of departures to the US and Asia.

Personally, on baggage, particularly on short connections (under 50 mins) in VIE, I have not once received my baggage at the final destination. I know others have had bad experiences at FRA and MUC (more so the former). I've had one lost luggage in FRA (Reunited the next morning), but in Vienna I've had 4, ever single one of my short connections they couldn't connect the bags. Vienna is now the airport I actively try to avoid transiting at because of this, even more than FRA. And in MUC, despite all the chaos last week, my bag still made it to HND. Two others (out of four of us transiting HND to BKK) did not get their bags, but they had been entirely re-routed from MUC-AMS-BKK with LH+BR to MUC-HND-BKK with LH+NH.

So, yes, I'd explore other options if you need to be in BKK on the day itself or if you are planning on leaving BKK in the next couple of days afterwards due to luggage. But if you're flexible, they'll always find a way to get you there somehow (as the two who were originally on the LH+BR connections showed). So even in the worst case, they'll get you there with some delay. The lugagge would be my biggest concern.
Thanks for this and all the other replies. It's my own fault but as flight was booked at a silly price a long time ago, the cost to change now is extremely high ( I know if things go wrong I'll probably regret not doing anything ) As I said a delay is no big deal but it's the luggage transfer and onward despatch that's the issue here, particularly if I make the flights but luggage doesn't. Any tips pre-boarding to try and check luggage has been loaded or am I crazy to even think that's possible?

They should do - I had a similar connection time recently from ARN-MUC then MUC-HND and it was no problem. I had an Airtag in it and my bag was in the plane before I was

Best/nicest LH lounge in MUC T2 that is open in the evening? I'm *A Gold, flying LH in J, but my first time flying from MUC and my flight leaves from H gates.

We would depart Orly in Paris at 1010 arriving in Munich 1135. Our connecting flight from Munich to San Diego departs 1220, so we'd have only around 45 minutes to make that connection. Not sure if we'd have to clear German Customs or not (I presume so). I think I've only connected in Germany once (Frankfurt), but it was a very long walk from one flight to the next and a very slow process to go through security again. Not sure if Munich is similar.

LH ORY-MUC 1010-1135. MUC-SAN 1220-1523.

Doable? Seems pretty tight to me, but there really weren't any other good options without spending a lot more points to get what we needed.
I wanted to follow-up on my question from October. They actually shortened our layover in Munich from 45 minutes to 40 minutes.

Our flight from Orly Paris to MUC was originally scheduled to arrive in Terminal 1 and depart from Terminal 2. But fortunately, I think, it arrived in Terminal 2.

Still, it was a pretty long walk, but we hustled, and despite getting jacked up at passport control for missing a departure stamp in Le Havre, we did make our flight from MUC to SAN. The Munich airport is large, but is well laid out, imo. I think there may have been a slight departure delay, but not by much.

Thanks for your advice.
Just to update. Caught connection and bags made it too. So an hour to connect is doable.

Just a small gripe about Lufthansa.
When I was flying back to Sofia, I checked in via the app and it allowed me to select an emergency exit seat. All good. Bonus I thought. Got to the airport, bags checked no problems. When I went to board I got the dreaded bleep from the scanner. Turned out that I was to be reseated to another seat. Funny thing was that my original seat was not occupied during the flight.

Is this sort of thing common?
