And there is another interesting thing, a very nice PA told me a couple of days ago: There indeed are HONs who really are complaing about those who are just doing a little more than 600.000. So the status mileage millionairs are feeling some kind of molested by those "poorists".

this is seriously silly! how many HONs are out there who are doing more than 500k+ per year? if some of those few are complaining that a "club" of 3000+ members is too large then please go and find an airline that offers a more exclusive program...

I bet most (95%) of the HON mileage millionaires (in 2 years) do not pay for their flights themselves!

Didn't get that one... So 70% of Austrian HONs are above the 750K mark??

Wow!

Sounds like "jammern auf höchstem Niveau" (whining at the highest level).
I have had years where I had close to 600k status miles - pre HON era - but I can confirm that you can have a nice life without a HON card in your wallet.

I am now in excess of 4 million miles in various programs (LH,BA,BD) and would argue that the quality of life increases with every mile not flown ! (As nice as the FCT and other perks may be)

Does it really matter and for what reason?

At least I'd interpret SenAOI's post this way.

Yes, I guess 70% of Austrian HONs (just above 200 people) are above the 750k mark. This is how I understood this too.

Who needs miles if you have your own private jet ?

Thinking about it, if I had a Gulstream V or something similar I would create my own FFP and award myself miles which I would then redeem myself on my jet to treat myself !

It would be the end of OS HONs. VIE HON services need to be dismantled asap. Cool.

Especially from those who used to justify that LH F pax don't get the same level of service as HONs flying Y or C.

Good show, though!
