His wife might want to take advantage of the Molton Brown Spa which the FCT is lacking... She was always getting "the look" when she put the black fisheggs on her face on LH...

750k would really suck...

From where comes this rumor ? Just crossed the 600k limit again to re-qualify, however did not get the e-vouchers again etc. What should be the starting year of this new limit ?

You will get those when your present quailification expires - i.e 02/2008 or 02/2009 - even though you already have qualified.

Cheers

Anyone can confirm the rumour of December 1st being the introduction date for these enhancements?

I.e. pissing off all those that just made it beyond the 600k mark as they're left with only four weeks making 150k more?

Yeah, so all should immediately start HON runs in order to be prepared.

Maybe even 750K is not enough, so let's plan for a solid buffer.

What if the new status level is to be called "LH Bi-annual Million Miler"? That would require a very solid buffer

Was it clear wether the changes will come into effect on Dec 1st, or simply be announced on Dec 1 and come into effect somewhat later ? After all we got considerable advance notice of the aug 1 changes.

Threshold remains at 600k. Don't worry. This has been confirmed in ZRH at the DO by LX.

But will they reduce earning on certain D/Z fares, esp. intra-Europe? That's my main concern...

They didn't explain in details how they want to achieve it. IIRC their main concern is the inundation of SENs out there. They want to reduce the # of SEN. It happens that on a flight FRA-SIN almost every C pax is a SEN - good luck with the seat blocking .
The HON program has been designed for a total # of 5'500. They are now at 5'100-5'200.

Well seats in C are already blocked (SEN or no SEN) and the blocking in Y is not guaranteed, any checkin agent can overrule it even on non full flights (this happened to me recently, two people wanted to be seated together and they chose the first row of economy, thus taking "my" middle seat, almost every other middle seat in the flight was unoccupied).
Why would they want to reduce the number of SEN anyway ? Lounges too crowded ? In that case it would be sufficient to limit access to LH golds only, as suggested in other threads in this forum ...

What is the difference of a SEN and a LH gold?
