If connecting Schengen to Schengen, then you will have plenty of time.
If within Europe, Schengen from/to non-Schengen, then you will also have enough time.
Lounge is ok, better than sitting at gate.
MUC is one of my favourite airport in Europe to connect

... unless one connects to an EW- operated flight that leaves from the depressing desert that is T1 - and where lounge access is non-existant anywhere near to one's departure gates as the only longes are at T2.

EW and 4Y use the T1 contract lounges in D & B respectively. These are operated by LLS since 2019 and have a very similar standard to the LH lounges in T2.

EW and 4Y aren't even in the same terminal as LH in MUC? Wow.
I've flown in/out of both, but never transferred between the two. Is there a way to do this in security or do you have to walk outside across that courtyard area?

There is an airside bus that goes between T1D-T2G and T1C-T2H.

Every 10 minutes. I was on a flight leaving G82 on Monday, which is just opposite of the departure gate for the schengen bus and it stated that the bus is running every 10 mins.

That would be good news, but is currently incoherent with the official link posted by oliver2002 which confirms the 20 min cycle.

I see the non Schengen business lounge closes at 6pm.
will I be allowed into the Senator lounge or expected to use the Schengen business lounge?

Also if you are Asiana Gold you should be allowed to use also the SEN lounge.
