I just called and the hotline says that it was only open till 12:00

I filed a complaint to PPB and got an answer within a few hours!

I complained that the changes were announced quite late, that there are hefty effects in earning and burining and that I had no chance to burn my points earned form September to December.
I also wondered about that J on Swiss is a payed Business-Class Booking class that earns no miles.

I also mentioned that when they destroyed Miles&More in August 2004 the Answer form M&M was: They improved PPB instead. I now asked if they will improve now M&M instead.

The answer was a copy of ther T&C that said that LH was legally right.

I find this extreamly arrogant. So our policy for 2009: Avoid LH at all costs.

Dear LH, if I had the idea that the changes were some what legally not correct, I would have given that to my lawyer!

An other peak of LHs arrogancy!

I have the feeling that they stopped the points accural for 2008, that you cannot burn your points!

The changes are bad, but the arrogancy that shows when you communicate with LH-Staff is what pi*** me!

I agree - show them that you are flying other airlines if they are not providing you the benefits that they promised. (Even if they are legally right, but they didn't provide much notice, did they??)

Even with all the airlines LH is purchasing, there *are* still a few options...

LH gave exactly the notice they were required to give under their T&Cs - 6 weeks to the end of quarter.

Not very customer firendly indeed !

What I think, that it is not correct, that the earnings from OCT-DEC can't be booked on the "old" T&Cs.

Same with me, called 'em up at around 15:00 - shop closed. I wouldn't wonder, if I had not called them the day before, asking for their service hours on new year's eve...
Lost a bunch of points now
Sorry for giving the wrong information, but it's exactly what I got from them first hand.

Why would you expect LH not to lie to you?
They are an airline, after all.

It is per the T&C.

I even didn't get an answer from PPB on my letter (Sent it to VP Key Account Gero von Goetz) . Probably my arguments couldn't be replied by just sending the T&C. So they decided better to reply nothing rather than discussing my arguments...

BA gives me thousands of miles after every long haul. There always goes something wrong in their crappy F/C and they have to make me happy again.

BTW: C/C fares to the US are pretty good currently. They offer NYC for 1735 Euro all in. Being able to remunerate your staff in a currency developing like a third world currency allows pretty nice fares if paid in hard currency like Euro

Thanks all for the information in this thread ^
As yet no changes to UK, anyone know why or when they are expected ?
Currently there is a huge disparity.
As i fly from UK to Asia & South America all on Z or J & burn my miles in O, the changes once implemented would be very bad for me

I have just used all of my miles on O from LHR to EZE

So if they are implementing the changes from UK i will probably give AF/KLM my business.

Interesting to see that LH communicated the changes of the terms and conditions in line with their T&Cs, but seem to have failed to update the PPB homepage.

The "old" spend & earn numbers are still there !
Somebody seems to be sleeping !

Since LH IT has a 100.00% failure rate of implementing changes that affect customers correctly and on time, this was to be expected with a probability of, well, 100.00%.
