Quite funny actually that the day after LH enhances PPB, BA has a 50% off award sale this week for any bookings made in any class !
...I immediately booked 2 x BKK in both F and C ... thank you very much BA !

You fork over 15K points to avoid the MUC-FRA leg :grunt: ?

UA already announced that for their Hungarian pengő-style inflation of points for Jan 1 2009, they would even treat day changes with the 'enhanced' points ... hope LH refrains from this for a while.

Like a lot of people on this board said, the program is not very attractive after the changes. So I thought I might quit my membership to protect my current points. The email says:

If I stop register flights after 31/12 will they have to let me use my points under the current terms? If yes, for how long?

Any lawyers on the board?

Thanks

Gloria

Hi,

I also expressed my "displeasure" about the enhancements and got a call today.
I haven't returned it yet, but will do so tomorrow.
I'm interested what they will discuss with me, how they try to explain it.
I keep you updated.

How did you express your displeasure?

That is, what I did as well (Attn.: Gero von Goetz, VP Key Account). And I copied HON Circle feedback.

Just short email that the changes are ridiculous, that now an award costs in some cases more then 3-times what it used to cost, that this can really not be called "enhancement" or otherwise one would need to call LH customer stupid.
I also mentioned "On Business".

I got a chance to revert the call this morning. There was no special reaction basically the representative was "collecting" my opinion. No special offer, no nothing - it was more like "well the changes haven already been approved - so LH will see what will happen".

Did anybody have any further information on the effect of an objection to the rule changes. These would bring the membership to an end in 6 months time, but at which rates could I use the points unitl then ?

Cheers

I'm just guessing, but per the current T&C you have no guarantee on free flights or upgrades, since everything is based on availability. So my guessing is, there would be NO AVAILABILITY for you in the next 6 month.

Well I didn't even think about that, but about whether the new or the old amounts would be charged ?

Would you really think that they zero out the availability on an individual basis ?
