If and when a particular strike begins and flights are actually beginning to be cancelled, you can call LH and ask for a rebooking/rerouting.
LH usually rebooks to other LH Group carriers, any star alliance carrier or other IATA airline it has an interline agreement with. The preference to do so is in the same order and done only if the preferred alternative doesn't have any free seats in the class of service (not booking class). Award bookings are treated the same way, although you may be requested to contact the issuing carrier for reissuing the ticket. LH issued tickets are usually reissued using the ATC irreg system.

Against the background of the announced strike by the Independent Flight Attendant’s Organization (UFO) on Lufthansa flights on Thursday 26th of November, Friday, 27th of November and Monday, 30 of November 2015, Lufthansa is trying to keep the effect of the strike on its customers as low as possible.

Lufthansa returns to almost normal operations from Saturday onwards

After the end of the longest strike in the company’s history, Lufthansa will already return to almost normal operations on Saturday and will offer its customers the usual service as soon as possible.
All scheduled long-haul connections will be able to operate on Saturday. Furthermore the long-haul connections from Frankfurt to Hong Kong, Singapore, Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paolo, which were scheduled to take off on late Friday evening, will be delayed to Saturday morning. Thus a cancellation of these connections can be avoided.
Lufthansa will also return to almost normal operations on short- and medium-haul flights on Saturday. Due to operational reasons, there can be occasional flight cancellations, if the aircraft or crews are not yet at the site of operation.
Lufthansa would like to sincerely apologize again to all customers, who have been affected by the strike of the Independent Flight Attendant’s Union (UFO) during the past days. The company has done its utmost to keep the effects on their customers as low as possible.
Altogether the company was forced to cancel approximately 4,700 flights during seven strike days. Affected by these cancellations were approximately 550,000 passengers.

Due to the strike actions Lufthansa has to cancel 126 long-haul and 10 continental connections resulting in about 27.300 passengers being affected by flight cancelations. Nearly all German and European continental flights will be operated as scheduled.

LH usually rebooks to other LH Group carriers, any star alliance carrier or other IATA airline it has an interline agreement with. The preference to do so is in the same order and done only if the preferred alternative doesn't have any free seats in the class of service (not booking class). Award bookings are treated the same way, although you may be requested to contact the issuing carrier for reissuing the ticket. LH issued tickets are usually reissued using the ATC irreg system.

Don't know if you have any status on UA, but I called the 1K line (on my Ipod using Skype, free call!) from Copenhagen airport. I heard about the strike on my LH flight from FRA-CPH from a guy sitting next to me and confirmed by a FA. The 1K agent said that they knew nothing about a potential strike, I then said that I couldn't wait until the strike was confirmed and all of the seats on other flights would be filled. So she contacted her supervisor and had permission to rebook me (I was even able to fly a day earlier). If you don't have status on UA, it might be more difficult to get rebooked.

Just a update my flight to Brasil isn't until Thursday but they have already booked me on a direct flight with BA J instead of LHR-FRA-GRU J, so quite happy with the outcome.I dont have any Status etc anymore so just a standard Biz Class booking.

LH cancelled my CPT-MUC; how do I claim for non-refund MUC hotel?
LH cancelled the CPT-MUC segment of my CPT-SFO, so UA re-routed me via TK through IST. Which means I'm out the non-refundable hotel in MUC for the overnight. Can I collect this from LH? How?

Dear oh dear oh dear.
Mrs go_around had a flight out of HKG last night, the onward connection to KBP "might" be cancelled. So they wanted her to exit at FRA, the problem being she had no visa clearance for Schengen. The supervisor we eventually got hold of was good in sorting it out and rebooking on another carrier, but the hassle it caused for people in her position isn't justified. There seemed to be a number of people milling about at the HKG LH counters waiting on updates, and I can only imagine the mess at FRA and MUC if passengers are being flown in from around the world to see if, maybe, their onward flight is cancelled.
It is really a shame for an otherwise great airline. If you don't like your job or working conditions, seriously, just hand in your resignation notice and find another. I've done that. Plenty of other people will happily take your job. And don't bother pointing to company profits because yes, you do need to make handsome profits to attract investment. If those on strike want LH to suffer to the competition, this is a great way to go about it. It just sends out completely the wrong message to passengers, many of whom will take their business elsewhere. And then where will LH be? Sure, wouldn't it be nice if our pay and conditions were just as we wanted, but take off the blindfold. If LH wants to compete on the global stage with the Middle Eastern and Far Eastern carriers, this short-sightedness needs to end.

A colleague flying MUC to MXP today got rebooked to LX via ZRH in full Y last night (original Q). There was no official availability on Y, it seems the WL and send it to a queue to force the rebooking.

My SO is scheduled to fly LHR-MUC on Thursday but decided not to take any chances so she rebooked via ZRH on LX. The SEN line was helpful as usual, but they wouldn't rebook outside of LH group unless the flight is actually canceled.
Still, better than waiting it out until Wednesday and then finding out there is no availability anywhere else.

I probably will consider LH last on my list in the future. But regardless, I'm flying on the 12th from SIN to FRA, and I don't want to be stuck last minutes with no seat - these selfish crew intentionally give short strike notice, one day at a time.
Anyway, this is what worked for me: 1) Find LH codeshare on partner airline (I went for Star Alliance partner), and then, 2) phone agent who's willing to help - I explained my situation, as well as the alternative flight I was considering. I now have a backup on my reservation (shows in "my booking") - it reserves a seat with Star partner just in case my original flight is cancelled. Good luck and safe flight.

That is exactly what happened with me. I managed to get out of Vienna on an Austrian flight with an LH codeshare number. By finding it and suggesting it proactively to the LH counter agent, it took him all of 30 seconds to complete the rebooking.

Supposed to be flying TLS-MUC-DXB the 11th of november.
TLS-MUC will not be cancelled as operated by Cityline but MUC-DXB might be impacted by strike.
I finally reached Lufthansa. They don't do anything until my flight is officially cancelled.
They told me to call Thai Airways (who issued the ticket). They cannot do anything as well until the flight is annouced cancelled.
They will try to rebook me on another flight at that time but I am very affraid as my ticked was award in business. I am pretty sure that this kind of booking class is sold out for the following flights.
