Parking @ LAX: https://book.flylax.com/book/LAX/Parking or LAX Official Airport Parking
Recommendations for selecting booking times and total booking periods: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/34711926-post186.html
Note also that for booking close-in and and around holiday peaks, some of the off airport lots may offer advance rates that are very competitive with the LAX operated lots.
Interactive map of LAX on-airport (Central Terminal Area) parking status is linked here (includes links to nearby off airport parking if you scroll down)
Economy and Budget Lot Shuttle Tracker (bottom link, light blue) (as of 10/25/23 it seems to mostly show Budget Lot shuttles and some Economy Lot shuttles don't show up on the tracker)
Note that parking rates in the CTA structures increased on 10/19/21.
Economy Parking (structure in part of the old lot C location) opened 10/19/21.
Prebooking is available at substantial discounts for the CTA ($22 vs $50/day) and Economy ($15 vs $25/day) parking at this link
See most recent posts in thread for prebooking discount codes offered for airport operated parking lots.
For prebooking, you must book at least 6 hours before your arrival.
For the Economy Lot, your QR code becomes active 4 hours prior to your booked arrival time
For CTA lots, the QR code becomes active 2 hours prior to your booked arrival time.
Note that access to the Economy Lot is only via Westchester Pkwy to Jetway Bl - there doesn't appear to be any shortcut via 96th.
Fly LAX Official Twitter Feed with general information.
Fly LAX Stats Official Twitter feed with parking lot occupancy and time to T1 from points outside the airport and time through the U on the upper and lower levels.
Park 'N Fly @ Park One and LAX Lot C are permanently closed.
Lot E is permanently closed as of 7/26/21
With the limited availability of parking at LAX as travel picks back up, Van Nuys or Union Station+Flyaway bus may be a reasonable alternative:
Union Station Parking (at Patsouras Plaza) is $8/day. Make sure you're in Union Station East (the underground facility) and fill out and drop off the downloadable form if you'll be there longer than 3 days.
The Consolidated "LAX Flyaway Bus" Thread (2014 - Date) has up to date information on taking the flyaway bus; parking is $5 a day.

I normally use The Parking Spot but decided to use LAX parking for two recent trips. The first trip, I parked in the CTA but terminal 1. I had pre booked my reservation and loaded the code onto my apple wallet. When I scanned the code into the reader, it would not process the code. Tried several times and pushed the help button. At the same time, a lot attendant walked by and I asked her what to do. She tried to get the scanner to read my code but no go. She then said to pull a ticket and that since they knew my license plate number, it would allow me to exit. I did this and of course it didn’t work. Upon exit, I pushed the help button and eventually I was able to leave. Checked my credit card and saw that I was charged twice. Once for the pre reservation and the second for the ticket. I am now contesting that through my credit card company.
Fast forward to today. I booked a weekend stay at the economy lot. Entered the facility as the scanner read my license plate. Upon exiting today, the scanner would not read my code in my wallet. Had to push the help button to be let out. My spouse said I should have scanned the code in the original email and not the code I had added to my wallet. I said that they should be the same code and that why would they give us the option of adding the code to the apple wallet if there was going to be a problem. My question to those who use LAX parking, is this a normal situation? Does it make a difference from the code being read off the original email versus the code transferred to my apple wallet?
Other then these hiccups, the experience of using LAX parking wasn’t bad, though I really miss using Park One.

The attendant in the first case shouldn't have had you pull a ticket - they should hit the "help" button and read your reservation info to the person who answers and they'll open the gate. I've had similar problems in the CTA lots and they were resolved by the remote attendants that way without getting the double charge. In the economy lot the license reader usually gets it right from the license plate, but I always have a printed QR code from the email and when the license plate reader hasn't worked, the printed code has.

Usually, but I've had it miss a few times, I think usually when I'm leaving before the end of my reservation. I sometimes book a few extra days because the price isn't any higher and it gives me some flexibility. The reader puts up a cryptic message like "checking offlline reservations" when it sees my plate and then I use the QR code and it opens right away. I suspect that they do something like load the reservations they expect to end that day to a faster database and have the full set accessible in some slower way.

I did once, when I arrived approximately 10 minutes before my reservation time. Traffic to LAX was much lighter than I expected that day. Scanning the QR code from the parking reservation email confirmation opened the gate.
