While I would not IMHO call Tillermans the best in Vegas, it is consistently very good and certainly I would recommend it highly. My one tip, skip the "salad bar" (which is often provided complementary on a lazy susan at your table) and add one of the ala carte salads to your entree. Agree on the Chilean Sea Bass as well as all the seafood I have had there, service will be excellent and reservations are relatively easy to come by. I dine there quite frequently and the prices are excellent compared to the casino/strip establishments.

If you are looking for a great Casino based dinning that has a nice broad selection try MIX at the top of The Hotel at MB. The ambience and view is the perfect compliment to their inspired menu. Enjoy.

I'd go with Picasso in the Bellagio. The menu is prix fixe ($90/100), so no worries about everyone ordering crazy . If you take it easy on the wine, you can get out for around $1K.

The food is great and the location/decor is awesome.

Skip the Las Vegas Blvd locations and crowd and make a reservation at Rosemarys ( the original one) I gurantee your meal will better than most of the places in Vegas and the check will 50% less.

A favorite of area residents who prefer not to pay the megabucks at the megacasinos.

Hi

I'm actualy in the Wynn as im writing this, so you'll have to excuse any typos, since they hae realy keyboards etc in the rooms...

Anyway, they have a few restaurants here that may be worth considering, ad when i looked over the menus they didnt seem to be OTT, and i would think they would be within budget.

By the Parasol down bar there are a couple of restarants which may be worth considering, one being the Daiel Boulud Brasserie. Nice interior and yu can eat outdoors by the lake which may be nice.

If they havent been to vegas before i would strongly consider maing areservation at Mix, the restaurat at the top of THE Hotel at Mandalay bay, since the views are stunning. Remember to tell the guy on the phone you'll look after him for a window tale.

A couple of the older classic itaian places may be worth a look too, though i've never been, ad they are Pieros, ad Batista's Hole in the wall.

If its a younger crowd i'd consider dining in Tao at the venetian, since everyone i've spoken to says the food there is stunningly good.

Hope it al works out!

Bouchon is a great suggestion, they even have kind of long booths that are perfect for six. It is not super pricy, but it may be a bit rackety and not upscale enough for what you want. I like Alize as well, and it is one of the few good places with a view. Also in the Palms is a restaurant called N9NE, which is a steakhouse, but has some other excellent choices. It can be very rackety, but is a good place if you have a younger group and want to look for celebraties, etc.
Slightly off the strip is an excellent steakhouse, ENVY, which is in a Renassaince hotel off Paradise. Very good food and a nice atmosphere. Another good steakhouse is BOA in the Forum Shops, which does have outside seating available. It also has some private/semi-private areas.
If you have people with more traditional tastes, Joe's Stone Crab, also in the Forum shops, is a nice choice; good menu, with steak and seafood choices.
I think MIX is a great place to go to for a drink, but we were disappointed with the food, and it was pretty pricy.
Have a nice time

Just an update. We ended up having dinner at SW Steakhouse at the Wynn. Total for 6 was a hair under $1100. It was a great meal, and we sat outside by the waterfall. Everyone loved it. They even made us a wedding cake (I asked in advance).

I'm glad we ate there, because I charged it to my room and we had all our F&B charges, nearly $2200, wiped off by our casino host. So it was free, except of course for the gratuity.

I haven't tried SW yet. Any comparison notes with other steakhouses say Delmonicos, Smith & Wollensky, Mortons, etc.?

I haven't eaten at any of the other steakhouses in Vegas so I can't compare. The meal was great, and the service was impeccable, but I do think the meal I had at Smith & Wollensky's in NY was better though.

Pleased to hear you enjoyed the Wynn & SW Steakhouse. We are getting married there later this month and dining at the SW after the ceremony.

I'm curious how you arranged the wedding cake and how much you played through to get F&B charges waived?

Any other tips for making the most of our stay at the Wynn?

You might want to see if its included in the your wedding package. We didn't get married at the Wynn because our party was just too small. Call the SW Steakhouse direct at 702-770-3325 and ask for Jason. He's the guy that set it up for me.

Me & the wife got rated together. We averaged about 30 hours at $120 a hand to get all the comps.

Thanks for the info, I'll give Jason a ring.

Apologies for all the questions but I'm a Vegas novice - did you speak to a casino host before playing and will they give you an idea of what you need to play through for various comps? I didn't realise you could get so much in comps.

Never gamble for comps - never. For thirty hours of $120.00 play a very large bankroll is needed and possibly included a rather large loss. Win or lose, if flipside gambled at that rate I guarantee you that he was also able to pay his RFB if necessary without a problem. Comps are definitely a nice perk if you are planning to play at that level regardless.
