There are a lot more interesting restaurants in LV than steak houses (which aren't exactly hard to find anywhere in the USA)...
That being said, has anyone tried AJ at the Hard Rock? They owe me a free meal, and it is that, the new "Ago" and the old reliable Pink Taco (they won't pay for Nobu!)

For the next trip I've narrowed down my choices to:
(1) Del Frisco's - which has never disappointed (the current champ as they say on Jeopardy ) and
(2) Tbones - which is way more convenient to our hotel.
In reviewing the menus I noticed is that Tbones averages about $5 more per steak and $3 more for salads, sides, etc. Is the experience better, or just gouging to make up for all those casino comps?
The only thing I don't like about Del Friscos is the long wait for a table (even with a reservation) and the drive.

We're checking out Strip House next week. It has received quite a few accoladates, including being on Maxim's list of the "10 best of Steakhouses in the US." We'll se if it lives up to the hype, but it should be a welcome change from the multiple trips to S&W, Nine, etc.

Don't overlook Michael Mina's new Stripsteak at Mandalay Bay. They start you off with three different styles of french fry and three different dips as an amuse bouche.
As for the Range at Harrah's, I don't dispute they use good ingredients, but there are probably 20 better steakhouses in Las Vegas.

Yeah, I'm kicking myself for not trying them the last time I was staying in the south strip. The thought of actually having real kobe beef (it was on the menu at that time) would've been nice.

I'll start by throwing out one I think might be better (but requires a car): Austin's at Texas Station.

While I just ate Steak & Shake in TPA tonight, I am dreaming of some Brazilian fare. Perhaps, its time for a May Yolie's DO?

For the Price, Yolie's is a solid bet. Good food, good service, and unlimited helpings. There are higher end places with better quality, but nobody compares on portion size and value.

OK, that's 28. You could probably throw in Camelot and Circus Circus but they are arguably similar to Harrah's, as is Canal St. Grill. The others are all, I think, significantly better.

Strip House Steak report
So, we had the chance to sample Strip House at PH over the weekend. Overall food was good, but the service was aloof.
We were offered a "shot" of a lightly creamed potato soup with pesto as an opening "canapé." I would have eaten a bowl of this stuff and I generally don't care for cream soups. We started with two orders of the toasted brioche with gorgonzola "fondue." This was excellent. We had filets, NY Strip and Prime Rib Eyes. The steaks were prepared as requested lightly topped with maître’d butter served with a head of roasted garlic. We selected the Stilton and béarnaise sauces for additional flavor. The saltiness of the stilton really enhanced my filet nicely. For sides, we had the creamed spinach with truffles and the goose fat potatoes. The spinach was unbelievably rich with a healthy dose of heavenly truffle oil. The potatoes had great texture but had far too much rosemary for my taste. We loved the neo-old school decor. The service, however, was just absent. It took around 15 minutes from order to receipt of every cocktail and they were never offered proactively. We had to flag someone down every time and it was generally the bus boy that had to go get our waiter. As food was served, no one ever came back to check on our table, it was just poor service on the basics.
While I would recommend the meal, personally I am not sure I would return for the service issues and there are so many steakhouses and so little time.
