Seems to be open to 9PM on Fri-Sun for $80. I thought they haven't been serving crabs legs of any kinds since the Virus Troubles started and they closed. On the other hand, we tried Bacchanal with their promise of crab legs (snow only) and lobster claws, and found the lobster to be tasteless rubber. So quality would be something to watch out for - the recent reviews for their brunch have been very negative, touting cold food, lack of taste, and a few instances of food poisoning. Certainly not what Steve Wynn would have allowed, but MGM shareholders seem OK with it.

The last place I had king or queen crab was the Aria buffet, but that is now closed permanently and has been converted into a food court.

I think the days of high end buffets are coming to an end - rather than encouraging onsite guests to spend and gamble, they attract 80%+ of their clientele off the street, mostly families, who are eating food and service cost above the check price for the buffet and creating a loss. Personally, I would shrink the buffets down, increase the quality and send the price above $150 per person, no child discounts, and offer a 50% discount for hotel guests who are gambling card members to keep 'off the street' guests out.

I was tied up in SE Asia and lost all of the cache of shopping points. Not that I ever made an effort to use them and they always remind me to go shopping or something. Nice to be back in LV, definitely my home away from home.

The asking price was about $45 for lunch? Not worth it and I'd never pay, but comped is ok. This time, the prime rib was very very good, but the rest was underwhelming. The Oysters Rockefeller were decent and farmed salmon was the only fish, unlike in the past when you also had at least sea bass. No crab, at all; and, even the pasta dishes were all pulled. On the bright side, dessert has been expanded and improved.

Yeah, I think the golden age of the great gourmet buffets may be a remnant of the past. Those were fun times.

Mobile Check-In for former WOH Linked Accounts?

Does anyone know if mobile check-in works for MGM properties now that the partnership with WOH is severed? Previously I was directed by the app to go to the front desk to check-in (presumably to stop people doing ghost runs).

I have an upcoming stay at the Bellagio and would prefer to go straight to my room if possible without dealing with the front desk. I mean I will if I have to, but if anyone knows if mobile check-in works and can share their data point, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks!

We stayed Sunday night and mobile check-in worked fine. They have a round table area that you can get up to four physical cards via the app as well.

Update: JAN 2025: pricing and more

Goodmorning folks!
Yesterday 20 JAN 2025 has been an interesting day, besides all things broadcast from Washington D.C.
, we "enjoyed" snow in Texas and even all the way down Galveston.
As i'm biased towards MGM due to status, i will just photo dump here the latest pictorial about the Bellagio of timestamp JAN 2025.
Hopefully it can inform other FT:Members about what to exoect, to remove uncertainty and better prepare for a Vegas visit.

Yes, let's start with a controversial one ....
The inroom minibar.
Both my ex-wives and both my kids have been extensively educated, these are motionsensored, touch it and die (of the pricing!)
Spoiler

As a gent, i'd have to wear a bit of neat shoes to visit some restaurants or gambling/club events.
So let's see if Bellagio offers a shoeshine service:
Spoiler

And what about if I was startled and spilled my wine by an unexpected lapdance of one of my ex-wives and need to explain the stain to my mistressses.
Help, i need the laundry service.
Spoiler

Fortunately Winona Ryder and her kleptomaniac conference are not in town, they would find it a sport if you nick something from the room.
Inroom items pricing
I'll post the direct link here
https://www.bellagioathome.com/?lang...aign=evergreen
But also some jewels out of that directory, so you can laugh/cry at the pricing .... or see if inflation/devaluation/idiotcy will have increased the prices by next month, next event, next year
These are the items, people find most prone to "accidently" take home. Yes, one of my mistresses did not elope with the bathrobe but with the bodylotion and slippers ....
Her logical reasoning: "what does it matter, now that you are rich and a highroller MGM Noir"
My cynical response : " we won't be, if you are spending all that money now"
Aforementioned items,
Spoiler

Roomservice
If one needs to take a break from the rigors of gambling, clubbing, (wo)men and one likes to curl up in a cozy room watching the Bellagio fountain show, fortunately there is still roomservice. Below the current menu. Note, i'm posting the full menu and pricing, because in the past, the menu was posted on the website without pricing and it was anybody's guess .
Spoiler

Fountainside dining collection
restaurant seating fees at MGM-resorts
You might heard the gossip:
https://www.frommers.com/blogs/passp...g-to-las-vegas
https://www.reddit.com/r/vegas/comme...ies/?rdt=61916
https://viewfromthewing.com/mgm-hote...t-assignments/
https://www.sfgate.com/travel/articl...s-20030139.php
https://www.casino.org/news/vegas-di...window-tables/

Yes, you read it right..restaurant seating fees at MGM-resorts....
Had a quick ask, rumor: MGM-Noir is excempt, provinding contacting advance notice.

Bellagio offers it under the "Fountainside dining collection"
InroomTV has already an option set, but not yet loaded pricing.
Spoiler

Bellagio's VIP Lounge & reception
This explains it all
https://bellagio.mgmresorts.com/en/h...xperience.html
But it has been remodelled and how does it look like now?
Note: everything is dressed up to suite Chinese Lunar New Year, the year of the Wood Snake
Spoiler

And now i'll show you the Bellagio Ambiance during Chinese Lunar New Year : year of the Wood Snake
Spoiler

Bellagio Buffet & drinks pricing
Yes, there is included softdrinks / hot beverages but some tipples are at extra cost. No photo of the buffet because it was rammed.
Spoiler

Casino floor
Yes, you can still smoke but i find it not intrusive.
Yes, it does look a bit like the Wynn&Encore ambiance but now all gold.
But don't forget Steve Wynn owned Bellagio first before selling it, so it does function as a prototype for his later Wynn&Encore casinohotels.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bellagio_(resort)
I won't go into further detail because i'm biased due to status but am happy to report the Bellagio Casino is wellcoming to the elderly.
Spoiler

It is still easy, even in the early morning, to enjoy complimentary drinks offered by the roaming cocktailwaitresses.

MGM recognition -Noir- welcome amenity
Spoiler

Marriott Bonvoy X MGM partnership
Please find all information by FT:Members their wisdom & expertise at
Marriott International and MGM Resorts Partnership
But i did spot at main reception....

Penthouse Suite - fountainview

As described on their website:
https://bellagio.mgmresorts.com/en/h...use-suite.html
These come in
- mountain view,
- stripview (Ceaser's or Aria/Vdara)
- fountain view
so do email ahead if view is of importance.
Some rooms/suites with fountainview are on the edge of the maintower, some in the middle section of the main building.
Spoiler

And that concludes a pictorial about this specific layout type of Bellagio's penthouse suite fountain view .
Hope this informative to you.

Protip: Enjoy a drink on the Bellagio's casino floor + brunch buffet

Protip: enjoying a drink on Bellagio's casino floor
A google search lead me to this remark:
Spoiler

If you'd like to enjoy a tipple on Bellagio's casino floor, you are being served by roaming cocktail waitresses.
In my experience the ladies offer to serve you any type of liquidrefreshment they are allowed to carry.
If you wish to increase your % chance of enjoying a drink on the casino floor...........
Position yourself first at the slots between the Bellagio Lobby / Herns Boutique and Bellagio's restaurant "Jasmine".
You will see an unmarked set of doors, these are not the toilets.
As you will spot this set of doors open from time to time with the ladies bring trays of liquid refreshment on the casino floor.
The uniform of these casino floor cocktail waitresses are noir-black with a short trim.
In visual advice:
Spoiler

I hope your %chance payout/cashout will increase on the casino floor if now having access to a liquid refreshment.

Yes i got up early this morning for you (to participate in the early bird tournament) and to check out the buffet and report back to inform FT:Members.
Nothing but a controversial topic on the art of the Bellagio buffet:
offering, quality, pricing, value....
the amount of people watching and the shared camaraderie when sharing the last available pineapple of the buffet's fruit stand.
I'll let you decide yourself if it is of interest to you, courtesy of the visual splendour.
To start with, what is not inclusive:

Bellagio Villas

Again i am biased as i absolutely do not like the villas but for those wishing to know:
https://bellagio.mgmresorts.com/en/hotel/villas.html

And why do i not like the villas ?
- no true unobstructed fountain view
- you are rather enclosed between walls for "privacy"
- "privacy" my nose as all the rooms and suites above you, can look direct into your "private" garden / swimming pool from above
I can talk from experience as scorned ex-wives seems to keep a watchful eye from far above to see with whom i was frolicking with in the loveshack villa .

Hi everyone - first time going to stay at the Bellagio with some friends in a week. I'm Bonvoy Gold Elite (I know it doesn't mean much!), but do they give out upgrades for that? Also we have booked two rooms and the resort fee is US$440 for the four nights! Do they ever waived this or is it a compulsory charge? Thank you!

Rarely but I have had to complain about something to get it taken off for a night or so. Like if something in my room isn't working properly or the wifi sucks--I am sure you can find something to complain about and see if they bite. You might have to come right out and ask if you can get some compensation for (insert complaint here). It is getting more and more outrageous with these resort fees.
As far as an upgrade, I would smile sweetly and tell the desk clerk that it is your first time staying there and you are very excited about it and is there any possibility of getting a complimentary upgrade. Sometimes you can schmooze your way into an upgrade plus it depends on how full the hotel is. good luck!

A question regarding connecting/adjoining rooms. Have two rooms booked next week for four nights each. One a comped MGM room, and the second an award Marriott room. Looking to have adjoining rooms. The MGM reservation agent said she could not “touch a Marriott reservation” to enter the request. Suggested I just handle it when checking in. My fear is that we will be arriving in the evening, and adjoining rooms may not be available. Anyone done this successfully before?

Do you have the Marriott confirmation number? If so, then re-contact MGM and ask their res agent to enter info in the notes like "Request connecting/adjoining room to Marriott reservation #8XXXXXX" or some such.

Possibly do this do with the Marriott res also, by contacting Marriott and asking them to put your request in the notes with the MGM confirmation number for the second room.

Probably wouldn't hurt to call on check-in morning as well and ask the MGM res agent to reconfirm requests in the notes.

Thanks for the reply. I reached an MGM res agent who was able to combine both rooms on the same reservation. I think the first agent just didnt know how. I then checked in on the MGM app, and by the time we reached the hotel there had been connecting rooms assigned and numbers visible.
