That should have required some serious design brainstorming -- or maybe these decorations provide additional safety protection for the staff and passengers. I'm still a bit confused about what's for safety and for flight enjoyment these days... Serving wine is a plastic cup in J certainly checks one box, but which? |

So on KLM, regardless of flight length, in WBC it's one service with a hot meal (no choice in main) and for the remainder of the flight a snack bag? Any experiences on flights longer than JFK?
AF now offers a choice of 4 mains and a second service as well:

Hm, Expertflyer shows wide open flights, even at short notice, and the price is very low (800-odd for a return outbound tonight and back on Sunday), so I don't know where the full flights to GRU are.

I will definitely “go Dutch” and cover the expenses of my own meal, which I will bring onboard the flight on my own. Clearly there is no other way about this. Heck, I might even bring my own wineglass.

The plastic cup isn't quite as "whimsical" as you would associate with Blond Amsterdam, but they also had KLM mugs and reusable coffee containers for sale for a while.... https://i.pinimg.com/564x/8d/81/1b/8...6aa642b845.jpg |

AS per their website (back in Post 54 of this thread), there should always have been a hot meal on flights of more than 9 hours....

Ah yes, burgundies and grand cru, the typical KLM wine selection. Weird way to spell Rioja, Argentinian bottom-tier wines and South African discount bin bottles.

Thanks for sharing this, as it’s useful.
If I’ll be flying similar route in the near future, I think I’ll be bringing my own food, to make it a little bit more enjoyable especially on the long flight. At least the silverware works.

Johan Good news for those who collect the Delft houses. On the outbound flight there was a house waiting at my seat when I boarded, but on this flight they came around with a tray with lots of houses, so at least you could pick your own (if you're trying to avoid duplicates). I got a duplicate on my outbound flight but they were happy to swap it out in the Non-Schengen lounge from their house cart. |

Given that the shorthaul crew clearly don't operate on longhaul flights.
In any case, as you will no doubt have read in post #163 , it was the husband of the FA I had a conversation with who was on the GRU flight. Johan |
