Excellent...a six-hour all-coach flight (EMS is still coach). What wonderful news.

Don't kid yourself...it is blocked at 7+ hours southbound.

This was tipped last week during the A321LR conversion news; it was announced before London. JFK-GEO was as well, though that's likely a 2020 route, not 2019.

EMS is better than LATAM coach. The timing on the way back is key. LATAM leaves GYE at like 845 and gets into JFK at 4 which kills the day. The B6 redeye is a really solid addition, If I wanted to fly overnight previously it would be a 4 hour haul to MIA and then a 2.5 up to JFK in which even in J your getting no good rest...

Well at least it will be on the new NEO plane. New interiors and IFE system.

Its hard to imagine a better coach class product for a non long haul route than what is on b6 a321neo. You should read up on it. Really impressive stuff. Great seat, Ife, free WiFi, unlimited snacks, a lot of leg rooms and great decor.

I think b6 will eventually run latam off this route. The quality difference is too large and they can do it at a lower cost.

You can pay for it on LATAM if you want Or you can save the money (which will be very substantial) and enjoy a better economy experience.

Though after the news today, LATAM (excuse me, Delta dba LATAM) will become more appealing to a lot of people. There are a lot of Delta frequent flyers in the NY metro area.

Does LATAM serve a meal on this flight? JetBlue AFAIK will not.

Yeah, it's pretty long flight for that. My guess is there isn't enough demand for lie flat on this type of route. But aside from J cabin, EMS on B6 A321NEO will probably be as good of an experience as you will get.

Are you looking for pics of the 321neo or something you expect special from the GYE route? I've got a bunch from the A321neo, but from a shorter FLL-JFK hop. I'm sure there are many others out there as the plane's been in service nearly a month now.

Yes, 200Y in a 3-3 layout. One seat bank has only two seats. SeatGuru has an accurate seat map. Unsurprisingly, JetBlue.com does not.
