Well it's less ugly than I feared. I like having a mastercard for Yankees' presale. May replace it in my Amex profile with the Hilton

Not sure where they got their information from, but both Darius and DOC reported the $100 companion discount last week for the conversion cards.
DOC actually had a chart (presumably provided by either Jetblue or Barclays) comparing the benefits of all four card products that mentioned the $100 discount.

Woo hoo after a call to Barclays got the personal account approved and the Business account was just approved! Looking forward to Mosaic status after $50k spend :-) Between AA's devaluation of their award chart and my last trip with them being a disaster I have closed all of my AA cards and switched to Barclays. Mint is not as flashy as AA flagship to JFK but it looks like a good value and the wifi might actually be useful!

Thanks.
Separately, I see a lot of people have applied for the business and personal on the same day. Re: Barclays, I tried looking up application rules/guidelines, but was only able to find a 2 card maximum rule. Does Barclays look at recent inquiries / open accounts / anything else?

Right now the system isn't letting current AmEx cardholders apply for the plus.
There is language that says " This offer is available to new cardmembers only", however we won't know until after the conversion occurs on March 21 if former converts are considered current cardmembers.
Generally with credit card products, each product is considered a card, so for example if you have the United MileagePlus card, you're still eligible for the MileagePlus Explorer bonus before your eligibility reopens for the first.

Update from JetBlue:
"A new file will be sent to Barclays this weekend letting them know which American Express customers have cancelled their membership. With that said, if you receive a credit card in the mail, it will not be an active card. It will also not be linked to an active account."

A TrueBlue representative reached out to me via phone after I made a big enough stink on Twitter.
I also just received a message from barclaycard on Twitter pretty much saying the same thing. Looks like the companies finally worked things out. Come 3/21 we should not have an account with barclaycard at all and there shouldn't be any record of us ever having one.
