The top was taken at the Imperial Palace and the bottom was take in Hama-rikyu Gardens. Amazing to see blossoms so early (It was the last week of January).

I am told that's not unusual for camellias.

In fact, Tsubaki (the Japanese Camelia) generally flower in the Winter months here (usually through about March), so it's not only not unusual, it's the norm :)

Lovely early spring green leaves are totally underrated in Japan. Is this in May? And the nice folk village.
