Just to kick start a wiki, with answers to frequent questions.
1. We're flying HND-NGO-HNL. NGO-HNL is booked in business class, but HND-NGO is in economy. Will we still get the baggage allowance as if we're flying business class the whole way?
A: Yes. written here (link)
2. We're flying HND-NGO-HNL. Will we have lounge access in HND?
A. Definitely, within the lounge access rules of course. written here (link)

You would need to get the JAL PNR from BA.

Lately, the JL PNR matches the BA one.

If it ever does not, use this: https://web.1a-xml.jp/eitr/webeitr/WebEntry.aspx

Enter the BA PNR, and it will give you the JL one (or whatever other one there is). Since BA uses Amadeus, you get details of your reservation including partner PNRs.

The domestic lounge yes, as you connect from a long haul J to a short haul Y. Don't expect too much from the domestic Sakura Lounge. Keep your boarding pass from the inbound flight, just in case the system does not show it.
DeathSlam and makrxx like this.

I had just enough orphaned JAL miles to book a domestic JAL award. Obviously, as a result, my JL FF number is associated with the reservation, but I'd rather have my AA details on file. Is this allowed for award bookings?

Yes. You can either call JL to change it, or change it at check in.

It does not look very strong as typhoons go. I flew right over it on ANA today. Any cancellations are probably only going to happen tomorrow. If any happen at all, looking at the strength, it is probably not mass cancellations.

The Japan Meteorological Agency has it on its Typhoon watchlist, and has assigned it a number.
