experienced the JAL first lounge in Osaka Itami the other day. One of the worst lounges I'd been to. Cramped, cheap, no food. I prefered being in the terminal browsing shops than staying in this depressed lounge. AA lounge at NRT was 10000x better, and that's saying something since AA isn't really known much for their lounges!
I was surprised to say the least. Maybe other JAL lounges are better and I happened across a bad one

JALPak, what carnage have you brought to the CX forums regarding the AMEX Centurion DM offering!
(Laughing at the CX fanboys as I read their complaint letters.... happily looking at my JGC card)

Basically the MPC is a snapshot of Hong Kong people's short sightedness. When you're the sugar daddy, you're the king. However if you lose everything tomorrow, nobody cares about you. The MPC program operates like the Hong Kong Tatler magazine, they only capture people in the limelight, milk and seqeeze every penny and then they move on quickly to the next flock. Whoever they have squeezed in the past were long forgotten and often burnt in the process.
I realized CX's business model in 2008 as there is no long term benefit in staying loyal to them and made a jump here to JAL, but alot of my friends were die hard CXMPC fanboys and refused... until the Centurion/DM thing hit the fan. Looks like someone is gonna be sacked in CX like the herringbonegate affair.

Middle of July I'm off to PVG to see my ball and chain :P. I need one more segment on that trip along with the 6 segments later this year to avoid the re-up fee for JGC next year. Not sure why I'm bothering because once my wife gets here, my Asian trips will drop off dramatically but I plan to keep it as long as possible.

Yeah, I'll look into the waitlisting though I hate that it's come to this. What agency are you using?I noticed something else new. If you buy a mixed fare roundtrip ticket, say N on the outbound and H on the return, you get the following message "The most restrictive conditions apply to the whole itinerary when you purchase a ticket combining two separate fares on a half round trip basis."

Yep, I know all about the new JAL group requirements and I'm working on that.
Yeah, I'll look into the waitlisting though I hate that it's come to this. What agency are you using?

Nah that message has always been there somewhere on the page. They just make it bigger and more obvious now
