Basically the outside air is not dense enough and has to go through the engine compressor to pressurize and the air is heated too as a result. After that those air has to be cooled by the AC system before getting into the cabin.

Just landed at HND T1 and come to find out.... the Blue Sky Flight Shop is closed for renovation. I could handle the Amadeus problems and the website changes, but this is too much. How am I supposed to buy more JAL branded *#%# to clutter up our house (as my wife would describe it)? A little pop up store selling Noodles in the Sky and calendars is not cutting it.
