We were approached by a local guy who offered to expedite the process for 200,000 Rupiah pp which we happily accepted. I figure it got us out of the airport at least an hour earlier than if we hadn't paid him. Highly recommended.
I have organized a similar deal through the Club Concierge at hotel for our departure today for $25 pp. Not only will it allow us to avoid all airport lines but also gives an extra hour at hotel prior to departure. I will report back later as to whether it works as advertised.

We had given our passports and money for departure tax to the Club Concierge this morning and when we arrived at the airport we were escorted to the airline check in desk where we checked our bags. We had already been checked in for the flight, our departure tax had been paid and immigration formalities concluded. From the time we arrived at the airport until we were in the airline lounge it couldn't have taken longer than 10 minutes.

I do recommend reading some of this thread for Bali:
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/asia/...rocessing.html
And I also do recommend contacting the hotel, they can arrange the arrival and departure for $25 p/person each per arrival or departure. Can be worth it if the airport is just crazy busy.
Enjoy IC Bali - I'm getting very nostalgic.

Came in from Sydney on garuda
they processed the visa on aircraft and other than waiting for the baggage we were thru in no time.
very nice club room and good staff and service.
I think I will be staying here instead of GH in future.

I'd appreciate some quick help as I will be headed to the bali on the 30th. Here's the situation:
I am a RA and booked a duplex suite with breakfast. I e-mailed the hotel to ask what upgrade I would receive and was told my choice is either
1) club room with club lounge access or
2) resort classic suite room with singaraja lounge access
Is a club room really an upgrade from a duplex suite? Anything less than a suite seems a bit of a downgrade.
How does the singaraja lounge compare to the club lounge?
Thanks for any guidance!

Can somebody tell me what my RA upgrade *should* be, so I can be ready to argue once I get to the hotel?

I have to admit... My initial communications with the reservations office via e-mail were difficult due to "lost in translation" etc...
I think you need to e-mail back, stating clearly that you have already booked a Club level accommodation, which is a Duplex Suite, and would like to know what suite your Guaranteed Ambassador upgrade will be too, and if they will upgrade further as an RA.
I had to spell things out quite clearly as I was using a Weekend BOGOF voucher for a basic level King room, paying for an upgrade to Club and also enquiring what level my upgrade would be too.
Once they get the gist of what you are asking, all will be fine.
Good luck, keep us updated.

Thanks for all the replies. I checked and apparently I did book a singaraja duplex suite. So, I would expect some type of club suite for my double upgrade--just not sure which one. This hotel's room categories has really confused me.
