That shouldn't matter. The commitment of the hotel to the guest with a confirmed reservation should be the same.

The email doesn't even answer the basic question whether the hotel will re-accommodate guests at any of those (first 3 non-IHG) properties or if there are some special arrangements made or is it just telling them what a 2 min Google Maps search will reveal - there are other hotels in the neighborhood? Well big hoopla, we would never have guessed.

The typical sh*t show when properties don't open on time, the chain washes it's hands and where paying guests who have made arrangements are not even extended a minimum level of proper service recovery or given actually helpful assistance.

But god forbid one of us makes a small mistake with dates when booking a stay and is on a prepaid rate. Locked in, sorry, should have checked. Top notch...

I’m here in early June, is it too early to get worried that it may not be open by then?

Did they really move you to the Six Senses? I have a points booking for late May, and I'm afraid they will be delayed once again. Thank you!

They did, but it was a paid stay (and I paid the rate).

The hotel announces that it will open on 1 June.

Before announcing a further delay?

Yikes , we are booked June 10-14. I am now officially worried. They have pushed from March 1 to April 1 to May 1 and now June 1.I am thinking that they will not open this summer. I am going to make another backup booking right now but hotel rates are much higher than when I first made my booking also many hotels that were available for points are no longer available. This could be a really expensive problem.

I have two separate reservations in August. At the time I booked, I thought I was being conservative in timing the true opening. Now I’m not so sure.
