For newcomers to IHG promotions, note that Holiday Inn Express and Holiday Inn (including Holiday Inn Resorts) are two different brand categories for these things. If your dashboard says 'stay at a Holiday Inn Express' as one of the tasks and you stay at a Holiday Inn, it will NOT credit for the Holiday Inn Express task. (and vice versa)

At IHG, points + cash stays are simply points stays where you bought some of the points at the time of the reservation. Once you finish the reservation, a points + cash stay shows as a points stay. Thus points + cash stays only count for tasks where they are specified, and not other tasks.

I'm rather jealous of yours - could do with the more points.

Does BOGO count as 2 nights or just 1?

not great for me

20,800 - Stay at 3 brands and get 20,800 bonus points.

3,000 - Stay Once Get 3,000

1,500 - Book and pay for one stay with your IHG® Rewards Club Credit Card and earn bonus points.

10,000 - Get closer to the rewards you want when you stay 5 night(s) and earn 10,000 bonus points.

13,000 - Complete 3 of the 4 offers and earn (an additional) 13,000 bonus points.

5,000 - Stay once in September and get 5,000 bonus points.
cheapest 1 night in my area is $83 after tax, so I can get 9500 points + 425 CC bonus points = 9925 points. Paying .008 per point.

Does anyone happen to know if government rates count for the "book X using your corporate rate" category?

I'm new to IHG, so my offers aren't great (33500 total), but I'll hit just about all of them with a work trip.

500-Download the app
2000-Stay 3 nights
2000-Use Your Rate twice
2000-Stay at 2 Holiday Inn hotels
2000-Weekend stay
10000-Complete 3/5
15000-Complete 5/5

For the Holiday Inn one, it says it includes Holiday Inn Resort and Holiday Inn Club Vacations. Am I correct in assuming that HIX doesn't count?

That's one of the two often-asked questions that's answered in the wikipost at the top of the thread display. (You need to be on a computer, not on the fT mobile site, to see the wikipost.)

Anyway, you're correct.

Very few of these offers are worth "mattress runs". If you actually need a stay somewhere, and are just shifting the stay between brands because of the promo, then the math is quite different (because it's then only the difference in room rates, not the whole room rate).

DW got an oddly simple offer after enrolling in IHG Rewards a few months ago and staying just once since then:

3,000 - Stay Once
5,000 - Bonus for staying once in September
up to 30,000 - Earn double points starting with second stay

It's very interesting seeing how each offer differs slightly or a lot! My offers are slowly creeping up as I earn more points. One weekend stay will earn me 14,000 points which is nice, my last offer was stay 5 nights but that has now doubled to 10 nights. Staying in 4 hotels outside your country is always a tough one being in Australia (most external countries are quite a trip - Europeans have this easy). I try not to go out of my way to participate in these promos and always keep the end game in mind: 93,500 points is basically 2 nights stay in a top tier IC so I'd value it about $1000 value.

Earn 93,500 Bonus Points;

5,000 Stay Once Get 5,000

20,000 Stay More, Earn More
Get closer to the rewards you want when you stay 10 night(s) and earn 20,000 bonus points.

5,600 Earn more at InterContinental®
Stay 4 nights at any InterContinental Hotels and Resorts in Asia Pacific, the Middle East and Africa and earn 5,600 bonus points.

4,000 A Bonus Weekend Stay
Stay with us for the weekend and earn 4,000 bonus points. A Friday and Saturday or Saturday and Sunday night stay required.

22,400 Globetrotter Bonus
Earn 22,400 bonus points for staying at 4 IHG® hotel(s) outside of your country of residence. You’ll earn for one hotel stay per country.

2,500 Corporate Account Bonus
Stay 2 time(s) using your corporate rate and earn 2,500 bonus points.

5,000 Renew Your Ambassador Membership
Earn 5,000 bonus points when you renew your Ambassador Membership.

24,000 Your Achievement Bonus
Complete 6 of the 7 offers and earn (an additional) 24,000 bonus points.

5,000 September Bonus Offer
Stay once in September and get 5,000 bonus points.

Mine are fairly achievable

5,000 Stay Once Get 5,000

10,000 Stay More, Earn More
Get closer to the rewards you want when you stay 5 night(s) and earn 10,000 bonus points.

4,000 A Bonus Weekend Stay
Stay with us for the weekend and earn 4,000 bonus points. A Friday and Saturday or Saturday and Sunday night stay required.

3,600 Big City Bonus
Stay in 1 of 6 major markets: New York, Chicago, Washington, DC, Los Angeles, Houston, and Las Vegas and earn 3,600 bonus points.

1,500 Spend on your IHG® Rewards Club Credit Card
Book and pay for one stay with your IHG® Rewards Club Credit Card and earn bonus points.

5,000 Renew Your Ambassador Membership
Earn 5,000 bonus points when you renew your Ambassador Membership.

10,900 Your Achievement Bonus
Complete 5 of the 6 offers and earn (an additional) 10,900 bonus points.

5,000 September Bonus Offer
Stay once in September and get 5,000 bonus points.

Question: I already have stays booked for stays that fall in this promotion but before I registered for the promo, am I going to have to cancel and rebook?

Thanks,

Depends on your luck. Normally it should post as 1 qualifying night only, but depending on the property, for some IC's, it posts as 2 qualifying nights ... and then others manage to screw it up and it posts as non-qualifying nights in which case you will need to raise it up to AMB services to get a manual adjustment done. Really YMMV.

My partner for the following offers. I'm confused by the double points and the t&c does not help. Does this mean double points per stay until 30,000 have been earned?

5,000
September Bonus Offer
Stay once in September and get 5,000 bonus points.

1,000
Stay Once Get 1,000
Thank you for being a loyal IHG® Rewards Club member. Stay once and earn 1,000 bonus points.

30,000
Double Points
Earn double points starting with your second stay.
