This is a service which was being prominently advertised by TK on my flight. It is run by TK as well...
I believe that the city is easily accessible by both taxi and metro, but I'm not sure how long it takes - I seem to recall reading somewhere on FT that it takes about an hour to get to some IST tourist attraction, but I forget which...

Maybe a little late, but I absolutely wouldn't do DEL-BOM-EWR over DEL-JFK nonstop, even if I was going to New Jersey. That would add like 4 hours flying time plus the connection on to the trip. Maybe in business or first it's okay for us crazies who just like to fly, but in Economy that's just a foolish decision. Getting from JFK to EWR is 45-60 minutes with minimal traffic, maybe 2 hours in bad traffic. Much better than 4+ hours in a coach seat.
FWIW, I live in Manhattan and am more or less indifferent between EWR and JFK. EWR is a little closer by car with no traffic, but both can be bad with traffic. Public transport (train) is somewhat better to JFK as it's more frequent, but it's about the same amount of time to EWR or JFK from Penn Station if you time the train (to EWR) properly. Lots of details on transport in the New York forum and wiki.
The experience with immigration will depend more on how many planes arrived before you than anything else, I don't think it's reasonable to say one airport is better than the other. And yes, the terminals do matter, in terms of amenities. The CO's terminal C at EWR is pretty nice as are some of the JFK ones (T1, T4, T5, T8).

Well I have three choices in front of me..
DEL-JFK nonstop on AI in Y
DEL-IST-JFK on TK in Comfort Class
DEL-MUC-EWR on LH inY
I guess the accomodation and seat availability will decide the route i take..
Timings are super on LH but AI gets me to my destination earlier than others and is the cheapest but TK looks to be the most comfortable.. So i guess if I get the money for a comfort class ticket i will fly TK..
So what are the transit Visa requirements if i go on TK?
DEL-JFK nonstop on AI in Y
DEL-IST-JFK on TK in Comfort Class
DEL-MUC-EWR on LH inY

[QUOTE=deepakbhatia;17259556]Yes price is decent... But is the 10 hour layover on DEl-JFK leg or the return leg?
its on the ist-del leg on your return....
not sure....but my guess is you wouldn't be able to use it on your economy routes....
keep in mind, del-ist & ist-del will be in economy....ist-jfk & jfk-ist will be in comfort class....

BRU is probably best because it is quite small. FRA is large, but definitely better than CDG and LHR. I cannot say anything about BOM, DOH and DXB.

AI
LH
Comfort Class is simply incredible for someone who is used to flying Y (me). TK is a nice airport to connect at (many reasonably priced pay lounges if you don't want to visit the city and don't have status, if you have status, *G lounge is incredible). I've also heard the city is nice to visit, if you'd like to try that.
AI is better than LH solely because it is nonstop. Both are in Y, and the differences in product are not important enough to warrant discussion. sure, day flights are nice, but I think the hassle of a connection is more...

Because it is AI, and according to him, AI is the best at everything.

He has never given any reasoning to back up his statements.
Regardless, AI has a decent Y class product, and the fares that they sell their seats at usually make the flights a good deal. With Y, looking at price, schedule, connections, etc. are more useful than looking at the product in any case, since most Y class products are so similar.
That said, I truly believe that BOM is so horrible, that I'd take a double connection to avoid the place.
And to repeat, TK Comfort class beats pretty much any Y class product on the planet.

so, how does TK CC compare to BA WT+? It seems those are the only two carriers with Y+ on NA-India.
