Newark or JFk?

Hi people,

I was planning a trip to US in June next year.. And in all probability i will fly Air India.. Wat do you suggest the route i should take? DEL-BOM-EWR or DEL-JFK..
Considering i will be going in economy... IS transiting in BOM a pain? And how does EWR stand in comparison to JFK in terms of facilities?? And also i will be traveling with either my mother(senior citizen) or my sister..
Replies appreciated

I would not take BOM because you have your mom and you have to make her change airports at BOM. Thats a pain for sure. For that alone, just take the direct flight.

Whether or not your mother is there, transferring at BOM is horrible. Just take the nonstop...

is your final destination new york????if it is then it doesn't make a difference whether you fly into jfk or ewr....if you will be connecting from new york to another city then its better to fly into the airport from where you will take your connecting flight....

& i agree with the others, just stick to the direct flight from del, specially since you might be traveling with an elderly person....

Where do you need to go to? If it's certain parts of New Jersey, you might just want to fly to EWR. The drive to Jersey from JFK could potentially be very annoying after a long flight. It may just be better to go through the hassle of a connection in BOM at the start of your trip than endure a tiring drive at the end of the trip.

I don't know about you, but I'd happily spend an extra hour on the highway in the US than connect through BOM...
It's a real hellhole...

I prefer connecting within the international terminal at BOM at the start of a trip to a longish drive on a US highway at the end of a trip. But I agree with you in that I would go through anything to avoid a domestic to international connection at BOM.

CO flies DEL-EWR direct on 777-200ER.Avod in Economy. Some may disagree with me but I prefer EWR over JFK for Immigration and Customs but then again I have always entered on my US Passport.
