He mentioned they have some tie up with 7 different credit cards issuing banks. He said its some special deal for me, but whenever I asked him about the deal, he would say first I need your card details and start with what bank issued, visa or master and then the colour . At this point , I didn't want to hear any more questions and hung up.

But European rain is bad only while it rains. Indian rains are followed by after effects that can last a while.
Indian rain is (mercifully) in warm weather, but it goes on for bloody ever. Whatever. It's still rain. And it's still nasty. Make it stop ! |
I thought I read somewhere that the rain content in India also had higher acidity and concentration of sulfur, but I don't remember for sure.

nah, the amount of rain is far higher, so the higher SOx/NOx pollution levels Indian cities may have more is washed out asap and far more dilute than in Europe, where it killed entire forests in the late 70s/early 80s. Even that was mainly because of industry (coal power plants) than cars. With Euro (sorry 'Bharat') I/II/III/IV adoption it is probably not an issue in the future. The diesel soot is a far greater problem, that stuff is baaad... my mothers place is 400m away from a major junction and even with flyovers de-congesting the junction she needs to wipe the floors twice a day or close all windows to gain some control over the sooty dust.

Unfortunately , this is there in most cities regardless of how far you are from the road.. if u will not get carbon, you will get the dust so the floor needs to be cleaned twice anyway's IF the windows are kept open..
I wonder how bad it gets in smaller cities and towns, which have many more dusty roadsides and open spaces? |

I'm in Bombay, but plan to be in Brussels in a few days. When I spoke to folks yesterday, they said it was nice, warm, clear and dry.

Are you going to be staying long ? I plan to be there for three days the week of the 17th, although with me you never know, This is the third time Brussels has been planned, hopefully it will work out. Especially since I've finally managed to get a redemption on Jet, including First one way !
