- Login problems: If you have trouble logging into the Iberia website, type in your number and password by hand instead of using autocomplete. For some people this fixes login issues.
- Partner awards: Many flights on partners will not be available as one-way. You must redeem AA flights as a round trip for example
- Cancellations: Iberia awards on AA cannot be cancelled.

Here’s my ongoing saga. My account is years old. I purchased ten flights in the promotion time window. I was logged into my account doing this and the etickets I received via email contained my IBPlus number.
After 10 day’s no points posted. I looked on my account and saw the flights I booked were no longer linked to my IBPlus number. I added this number on each flight. Still no points. I’ve sent five emails now over the last 9 day’s and have had no response from anyone.
Utterly frustrating. Anyone got any advice, or in a similar boat?

I had points posted on accounts that didn't have the Iberia FF# initially. Re passport, I had to go in and correct the passport # to match the passport (on a few new accounts I entered a wrong one because I didn't know). After I corrected the passport and resent, points posted . They really look for passport # to match your Iberia + profile.

I've now had the "We correctly received your documentation. However, we are sorry to inform you that the details of your identification document do not match your Iberia Plus account information. Therefore, it is not possible for us to activate your account." on my account now - but unless I made a typo I do not believe this to be the case. So I've asked them what doesn't match. Not holding out much hope though!

How do you know that's the reason? In fairness, the site and account asks for: First Name, Surname, and Second Surname. A middle name is neither of those.

I have first middle last and just signed up with first and last as first and surname to keep it simple. Apparently that confuses Iberia.
There have been cases of people with new accounts getting the "passport information does not match the account." Simply because they only used one name and last name instead of their full name.
So if your name is "Joseph Miles Smith Flyertalk" and you registered as "Joseph Smith," Iberia is claiming the account information "does not match the passport" and therefore your it is invalid.
I don't think that's a legitimate reason to refuse somebody's Avios.

Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconveniences we may have caused you for not being able to respond the e-mail you sent us regarding our 9,000 Avios promotion until today. We correctly received your documentation and we would like to inform you that we have proceeded to activate your Iberia Plus account and to generate a new temporary access PIN code for you to enter into your Iberia Plus personal profile. You will receive your PIN soon, inside the e-mail address associated to your Iberia Plus account.
Keep in mind that this is a temporary access PIN code, therefore, you must change it once you enter your profile. In relation with the 9,000 Avios campaign for flights booked on iberia.com, we have reviewed your request and the information you supplied. We have sent the information to the relevant department for the awarding of the promotional Avios, if the information in your booking is correct, you should see these credit in your account during the following week.

even after unlocking and log-in, I can't get to the page where I can edit my personal information including the passport #. clicking on the user information simply transfers to an irrelevant page

Try changing the language of the website. I think I had to use the Spanish or Portuguese version, maybe try in "private mode" to avoid being redirected to the US website. Don't ask, it's Iberia!

This is my first post on this thread, so here is what I got:
Overall this is complete mess. If no avios are issued, all ticket purchases (still unrefunded) will be disputed.
- Created 2 accounts, for myself and other person (all registration details were valid).
- Booked 10 tickets while logged in for each account.
- Both accounts got locked, but I managed to reset PIN on one of the accounts via the app. Email address for the other account has unusual domain extension and for that reason the app did not recognize email address is valid (PIN reset failed).
- Received emails to provide IDs and tickets (both accounts).
- Refund issued for 5 trips for one account. No refunds for the other account.
- No avios for either account.
Overall this is complete mess. If no avios are issued, all ticket purchases (still unrefunded) will be disputed.

Hi,
I just recieved new PIN bur for "wrong" account. I have 3 accounts, 2 with wrong name and surname becauase of IT problem when registering, it add a second surname which I dodnt have. So question, should I add to my bookings the unlocked IB+ number or write to classica, wait again and ask what to do?
I sent passport and booking for my "right" IB+ account, but the unlocked wrong one...
