- Login problems: If you have trouble logging into the Iberia website, type in your number and password by hand instead of using autocomplete. For some people this fixes login issues.
- Partner awards: Many flights on partners will not be available as one-way. You must redeem AA flights as a round trip for example
- Cancellations: Iberia awards on AA cannot be cancelled.

Last week I received the dreaded inconsistencies email. I made a DOT complaint and also complained to IB (via email) with a couple execs looped into the email.
This morning, I received the following email.
So it looks like I'll be getting the Avios after all? We'll see. No Avios posted thus far.
I also received a new PIN in a separate email.

We correctly received your documentation and we would like to inform you that we have proceeded to activate your Iberia Plus account and to generate a new temporary access PIN code for you to enter into your Iberia Plus personal profile. You will receive it soon on the e-mail address associated to your Iberia Plus account.
Keep in mind that this is a temporary access PIN code; therefore, you must change it once you enter your profile.
In relation with the 9,000 Avios campaign for flights booked on iberia.com, we have reviewed your request and the information you supplied. Thats really interesting. I'm in Canada, and I put that in my profile so I'm hoping they don't pull the country of residence doesn't qualify trick...

Looks like they may have shifted their approach as people don't seem to have been receiving "inconsistencies" emails lately. Of course, doesn't seem like the avios are actually posting yet.
For those looking at timing, I set up my account on June 22, purchased on June 23, responded to email on July 4, received request for additional information and replied to it on July 15, and received email today saying they have been sent over to the department for posting.

Got the same email as the recent posters on this thread but never received an email with the temporary PIN. I'll continue to wait this out and hopefully we all see some progress by the end of the week.

6/22 Bought tickets - had two surnames on IB+ account
6/23 Noticed no IB+ number on my PDF ticket confirms, called reservations and they took full list
6/24 Checked next day and saw that bookings still not appearing under my IB+ account, retrieved each one individually and added number, all appeared under my account
At some point I was locked out of the account and reset PIN via app - this did NOT unlock my account.
7//2 Points credited to my account
7/2 I could not book award tickets even though 90k in account, called IB+ and they told me to send in Data Rectifaction form + passport
7/2 Email received correctly
7/5 Welcome bonus credited
7/5 Email asking for copy of passport and tickets
7/5 I respond with passport only as points already posted - updated personal details to remove second surname
7/7 Email received correctly
7/11 Apologies for delay
Today two emails:

I definitely goofed on the double surname BUT I contacted them as soon as I noticed it and filled out the data rectification form. Once I had access to the account, I removed the second surname from my personal details.
I never sent copies of my tickets because the 90k posted to my account and well, no need to give them fodder to reassess.
Adding the IB+ number to the bookings and/or calling in to have the number added on 6/23 must have made the difference.
Now all that said - I won't be truly convinced this is all set before I get on my return flight! I am not booking *any* non-refundable to restricted reservations for my time abroad. I don't want a surprise where my award ticket is somehow canceled (as someone noted above).
Successful result overall: ~$600 for r/t business class ticket off-peak, $5,800 lowest fare as of today

There is a slight chance I used my old passport number, I just sent them a picture of that one. I'll see if they accept that, otherwise I'll just cancel the tickets before the 31st.

Both my other half and my mum received emails activating their accounts this evening. Mums email makes no mention of the promotional Avios whereas the other half’s email does.
Thats progress in a little over 1 week since sending the passport info, with a holding email in between. That’s not too bad but not great for my impatience!! Still no actual Avios to him or mum, despite me getting my points nearly 2 weeks ago.

It looks like I am getting no Avios. I only created 1 account, and only got 1 email confirmation but I think I might have pressed enter twice when creating the account as the web site was not responding so looks like I am being penalised because Iberias web site could not take the strain of the promotion as I got this email today.
