  • Login problems: If you have trouble logging into the Iberia website, type in your number and password by hand instead of using autocomplete. For some people this fixes login issues.
  • Partner awards: Many flights on partners will not be available as one-way. You must redeem AA flights as a round trip for example
  • Cancellations: Iberia awards on AA cannot be cancelled.

Please do a separate data point for each account. If you opened accounts for others (spouse, child, parent, etc), please make a separate entry for each account you opened. Please follow the formatting below so we have some consistency. USER: Your FT username
OWNER: SELF or WIFE/CHILD/MOM/DAD/etc. Owner of the account (i.e. the name on the account).
ACCT: NEW or OLD. New = created during promo period. Old = created prior to promo period.
YEAR: Optional. Year account opened.
DOCS?: DOCS or NO DOCS. Did you submit identity documentation to IB?
VERIFIED: VERIFIED or UNVERIFIED. Has IB actually verified the docs you submitted yet (via email confirmation)?
POSTED?: POSTED or NOT POSTED. Points posted to account?
# PTS: How many points have posted to the account so far?
MISSING: How many points (that were expected) did not actually post?

None of mine bounced. But I sent mine days ago.

Maybe since then they changed the executive's email addresses!

You guys are very impatient. You don't have to spam Iberia and their executives to get your points. In fact, this just slows it down for everyone else at the cost of you maybe getting points earlier. You MIGHT get your own points faster, but while slowing down everyone else. [Removed by moderator]

Anyway, I have done everything by the book and emailed them twice with my information and got a response today which I posted above. Just be patient, it takes a lot of man hours to go thru all of those emails.

Did your PIN work? I got that email today as well, but I'm receiving a message that the IB#/password combination doesn't work.

I've now had the "We correctly received your documentation. However, we are sorry to inform you that the details of your identification document do not match your Iberia Plus account information. Therefore, it is not possible for us to activate your account." on my account now - but unless I made a typo I do not believe this to be the case. So I've asked them what doesn't match. Not holding out much hope though!

Are you serious??

After all the conflicting information given out, 'inconsistencies', denial of promo points for no reason, multiple requests for information, hoops, and unanswered emails, you seriously think it is unreasonable to contact other established channels of Iberia to bring closure to this fiasco?

Clearly sitting idle does NOT work my friend!

Iberia has had many weeks to respond. There is simply no excuse for this sorry [remved by moderator] airline at this point. if I could find a us subsidiary, I would file a small claims action. I’ll never choose Iberia in the future if I can avoid them.

90,000 Avios you would do this again if a similar promotion is held. 90,000 more you and others would "threaten" to sue.

Yes I am serious. If you went into this promotion thinking you were 100% certain to get the miles you are a fool. In fact we are extremely lucky they are actually paying out at all.

You realize its not possible to quickly respond to hundred of thousands of emails right? Iberia has sent mass emails keeping people up to date, telling them its still in progress. What more do you want? If you guys keep spamming them with MORE emails it just slows it down for everyone else.

Like I said, I only sent emails when I was asked to and have received my response.

If you want someone to blame for the delays, blame the people who made multiple fake accounts and caused this mess in the first place.

Please can we stay focused on data points and not lectures on whether people are impatient, ungrateful etc. I suspect I speak for most here when I say that entered this promotion and I expect Iberia to uphold the terms and conditions stated. Simple.

For me and my partner we submitted all required documentation by July 5. We got the auto email received acknowledgements and a subsequent apology for slow processing. Since then, nothing.

I will sit and wait longer for now, our accounts are fully in order and match our documentation. It is confusing how some people who responded later though have had things moving faster.

Reset your password using the phone app. Its easier and really fast. Same happened here.

Yes, 90,000 Avios for ~$300 would be great, but however this plays out, I have a Spain holiday planned out for next year, and will fly all ten flights as part of nested itineraries.

Life is short. Honestly, getting all worked up for the little amount of $ is not worth it.

Here’s my ongoing saga. My account is years old. I purchased ten flights in the promotion time window. I was logged into my account doing this and the etickets I received via email contained my IBPlus number.

After 10 day’s no points posted. I looked on my account and saw the flights I booked were no longer linked to my IBPlus number. I added this number on each flight. Still no points. I’ve sent five emails now over the last 9 day’s and have had no response from anyone.

Utterly frustrating. Anyone got any advice, or in a similar boat?
