- Login problems: If you have trouble logging into the Iberia website, type in your number and password by hand instead of using autocomplete. For some people this fixes login issues.
- Partner awards: Many flights on partners will not be available as one-way. You must redeem AA flights as a round trip for example
- Cancellations: Iberia awards on AA cannot be cancelled.

I have never seen such pathetic whimpering, snivelling and crying as I have on this thread - honestly, I dread to think what kind of life some of you must lead in the real world, when a promotion on an airline that some of you have never even flown on before causes such angst, bitterness and confusion. Such moaning and panicking!
What dreadful sense of entitlement, when people cling to the ‘terms and conditions’ like it is holy scripture - as if it is an inviolable and eternal contract that must be upheld for them personally - and any deviation from it deserves litigation, damnation and destruction. Pathetic. You are not important, you have no influence, and the multi-billion business does not care about you or what you think.
The only way to play this game is cheerfully, lightly, and in the knowledge that it doesn’t always go your way. Every single person booking knew this was a generous offer. You win some you lose some - better to wait and watch and see where the dice land, rather than speak to lawyers and email executives who never see your emails - those poor Executive Assistants..

I had an existing Iberia account with some last activity. I booked 10 one ways and got my 90k in the first round. I created an account for the wife, including her passport number when creating it. All legit. Booked the exact same 10 one ways with her credit card. Received inconsistencies email on Monday morning. Replied to them with a copy of the T&Cs, copy of her passport and 10 PDFs with the 10 confirmations. All matching the passport and all with the Iberia number attached to them. I also filed 10 DOTs complaints. Harassed them on social media publicly and privately. Googled their executives and found 3-4 emails that I sent them this morning again. Don’t think that did it but I recently got the 90ks for her. Been reading this thread for over a week now and wanted to chime in. Good luck everybody!

When my account went dormant and i had to cancel an IB/Avios award ticket I got the taxes back but as the account was dormant there was no where to put the points (according to IB) so the points disappeared. Never got them back despite lots of emails and phone calls. Hopefully your Avios from the promo were not deposited before you reactivated the acccount. They may have gone in the black hole of dormant account avios.

Also, their T&C has a catch all phrase. They really don't have to be nice to the people who wouldn't fly them anyway. At this point, I'm actually rooting for Iberia.

That's nothing to do with "entitlement", that's law, and everyone's rights as an EU citizen as of May 2018.
Whether you agree with that is your own problem - but rather than a bad attempt at patronising those who maybe DO have more "influence, or importance" (your words) than you, without knowing their background - maybe stick to that old rule of "if you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all".
