Is the award transferable?
I would like to know if the award is transferable as I am not travelling to US and the award expires on 31 December 09. Can I redeem it and give it to someone?

I feel spoiled actually. I only have one YTD paid night at a Hyatt.....and that was a priceline booking of $39 at a HP in Topeka, KS.
And the diamond status is a free upgrade from Platinum status which came free with my CO Presidential Plus card.

According to FT's own Gold Passport Concierge, the notices will follow shortly (like tomorrow). Hyatt seems to frequently do this kind of thing before notification (as Peteropny also noted in another post).
A communication promoting this exclusive offer will go out by e-mail on Thursday, September 24th, 2009 to our Diamond members who receive our promotional e-mails. For those Diamond members who prefer direct mail, they will receive a direct mail piece next week.

Lots of bad press this past week with the Boston Hyatt hotels housekeeper mass firing scandal erupting in the press.
Is this an effort to appease the Hyatt diamond elites in the face of boycott calls?
It would be nice if the free night were transferrable.
There are probably some former housekeepers in Boston who could use a free night to help get through a new job interview.

It was mentioned above about a 5k Hyatt GP points post. Was this recent? A phantom post? I am after a DEL5K bonus post from Hyatt GP which I called about yesterday day. My account increased by 5k yesterday afternoon but there is no line item under account detail which notes DEL5K. Any info appreciated. Sorry about be a little off topic.
