Has anyone else noticed that the GP site seems to have a lot more issue in the morning lately (logon timing out)? Some days it will take 4 or 5 attempts to login.

Yes, it's happening to me here in SFO as well. You click and it just hangs. It's also the same way if you try to book a reservation via the main site or through the GP site. You will get to the last click, "make reservation" and it will hang and hang and time out. I called Hyatt Reservations and they were blur about the problem.

United and Hyatt must have the same people running their sites! Great work guys!

hamboarder Jan 29, 2010 2:52 pm

Yeah, website's not working for me either...

My two cents

Hyatt.com is one of the nicest looking websites and has some really nifty features/aspects ^
It is also one of the most problem plagued websites I have ever encountered
with the slowest account log in/in the history of all hotel and airline sites I have ever witnessed
Thats of course if its working at all on a given day :(
One of the reasons I purchased state of the art new computers was I thought there was something wrong with the
speed of my old computer because of Hyatt.com.I was wrong its was Hyatt.com for the most part

Frequently I get a message after I try to log in saying usersession already exists :(
Come on Hyatt you have had this website for years now
Please hire some folks in IT who can manage this correctly and find solutions

And while you are at it how about a line with an internet help desk for these kinds of issues so your customers don't have to go on a public forum and gripe about the poorly maintained website or worse file a compalint with Consumer Affairs who is always nice but falls on deaf ears without a single follow-up other then the ultimate round circular file.
Remember hospitality and being hospitable? ;) Anyone home?

Cheers and many thanks :)

This seems to be an increasingly common problem this year. What is going on with hyatt.com and goldpassport.com? Making a reservation online is becoming more of a pain than it should be.

I posted this earlier, but it probably got lost...

I used to have that "you're already logged in" problem all the time. Now I make a point to LOG OUT each and every time I visit the site, and it hasn't happened since. Hope this helps. :)

I've gotten the short survey invitation practically everytime I use it, a couple of invites to the deeper survey, and recently an invitation for something more, but less defined. So, I keep thinking that they do "get it", ...and by and by...

Is everyone else still having problems logging in to GoldPassport.com? I haven't been able to login at all in about 24 hours now. I was able to checkin using hyattwebin.com but with Internet Explorer I can't even get hyatt.com or goldpassport.com to load at all, and with Safari and Chrome I can't login to my account through hyatt.com or goldpassport.com.

I did get that web site satisfaction survey on hyatt.com through Chrome last night and let them know how bad the site has been lately.

No probs with either FF or IE... in fact, quite speedy this morning.

May I suggest clearing your goldpassport and hyatt cookies?

peteropny Jan 30, 2010 8:46 am

I'm getting in fine.

I wish they'd change the picture associated with the Gx bonus with the headboard & 3 pillows that you see when you first sign into your GP account though - its of the former PH SF which has been "gone" for several years now :(

That did let me at least view the hyatt.com and goldpassport.com homepages with IE, but it still won't let me logon my account (still getting the "Gateway Timeout" error). Are you able to logon ok?

Thanks for the help!

Yes. I logged-in with both FF and IE.

oc2005 Jan 30, 2010 9:00 am

Huh that is strange! I just did a test to see if I could logon to my wife's account and it worked fine. So it must be a problem with my specific GoldPassport account - guess I'll have to call customer service since it's still not working for my account.
