Are there any Park Hyatt left that still use the Blaise Mautin products?

The bar soap is very nice. The stuff in the bottles is less so...

I do like the Aesop amenities in the Park Hyatt very much.

That last one occurred to me. . In the end, I took the high and easy road -- at checkout, I just complimented the products and asked if I could take a few home. And got 2x shampoo/conditioner/lotion just for asking. (I gave the lotions away to colleagues as girlfriend/wife gifts).

Since I also snagged all the shower products out of my room, I'm now in the perilous position of barely being ale to fit them all in my 1 liter ziploc. First world problems indeed...

I've never stayed at a hotel where the smell of toiletries is so strong like at the Park Hyatt Vendome. It is the scent of Blaise Mautin everywhere.... hallways, elevators, rooms, suites.... so if one is allergic to scent... stay away.
I don't know what the relationship is between Blaise Mautin and the Park Hyatt in Paris but I would welcome a change... and the sooner the better.

These are my personal favorite.

I also like the Shanghai Tang toiletries at some (all?) Mandarin Orientals...

I seem to recall that there is a strong business relationship between Blaise Mautin and PH Vendome going all the way back to the opening of the property and that the scent was specifically developed to be a part of the overall hotel experience. Personally, I like the fragrance, but can see how it might be too perfumy for some.

By the way, the upgraded Le Labo amenities found in premium suites in Park Hyatts, the Santal 33 line in 3 oz. bottles, has an even stronger scent.

If the stronger scent is contained only in the bottle it's up to me keep it closed but it should not permeate throughout the hallway and beyond...
I know the ladies are happy with that scent and as long as they're not complaining I guess Blaise Mautin will continue to live on for years to come.

I believe that at the PHV, the scent is pumped in through the HVAC system.

I'd say both are great, high-end brands. I can see where some of the AA scents may not be for everyone.

Monsieur Mautin told me that this is not the case. Housekeeping sprays the scent every once in a while 'manually'.

I think Monsieur Mautin lives at the PH Vendome and is the one in the early morning who manually sprays his perfume throughout the hotel.
I would rather have PH Shanghai's Aromatherapy, it doesn't smell as powdery.

The Park Hyatt Paris – Vendme has changed the Blaise Mautin scent used for the in room toiletries. It is no longer the classic “wet cement” scent, but is now a strong lemon scent packaged in 50 ml crimp bottomed tubes. The general hotel sent is still the classic Blaise Mautin.

Did you like the fragrance?

And what about the packaging? The only crimped bottom I can visualize is that for a tube of toothpaste or hand lotion.
