Would you be willing to send me some? I'm been ever so curious about how Blaise mautin smells from reading this thread. Hope I'm not too late.

It smells like wet (freshly poured) cement (concrete)… but a bit more “perfumy”.

FWIW, it is an unusual scent in the positive sense of the word, but neither my wife nor I ever liked the effectiveness or feel of the products.

I'm sorry, but I mailed all the bottles last week. I'll stock up again when I go back next year.

This thread has influenced one of FT's bloggers to pay a visit to the Park Hyatt Vendome, solely for the purpose of experiencing the original Blaise Mautin toiletries.

Having just completed a 5-night stay at the PH Paris Vendme, I have to say I'm now a fan with the Blaise Mautin scent (the "new" scent, I'm presuming). I found the shampoo and conditioner to be very effective, hand soaps to be moisturizing, and I also enjoyed the Blaise Mautin-branded loofah that was supplied in the room.

I'm at the PH San Diego right now and enjoy the Bergamote 22 scent and products, but Blaise Mautin edges it out for me.

I just completed a stay at the PH Vendome last week, and I loved the scent. I wish I had gotten more toiletries before leaving the hotel!

Anyway, I decided I might want to buy the perfume or a candle and so I inquired through the Blaise Mautin website if that were possible and I got the following response - it appears you can order it at any time (I previously thought you could only buy at the hotel):

Hello Emily

Greetings from Paris thank you so much for your email I can manufacture the Park Hyatt interior scent for you

The 100 ml spray is 60 euros
The candles 40 euros
The Capillas 250 ml is 110 euros

The perfume to wear 50 ml for 80 euros
The perfume to wear 100 ml 110 euros

Plus shipping

Warmest regards.

Blaise Mautin

@emipink21: Brava! Thanks for this report. While the prices are breathtaking, this is wonderful news and the personal touch from M. Moutin is very nice.

After further emailing with M. Mautin he states that only accepts direct bank transfer for payment. FYI.

Park Hyatt Chicago has Le Labo Santal 33 in Suites. I think they have Negroli 36 in regular rooms (which they sent up when I asked for more bottles).

awww man.... I found this forum too late.. I stayed at PHV in 2012 and got hooked on that old BM scent. I was only able to take 1 soap and 1 conditioner as souvenirs and now kicking myself for not getting more. I didn't think I'd still be looking for that scent 2 years later. Does anybody know how/where to be able to procure any of the products with the old scent?

Thanks in advance

PH Toronto and PH New York have the same Le Labo products. Slightly different name though.
