Yes, like a toothpaste tube... another that comes to mind is Acqua di Parma packaging but BM is a white tube with black lettering.

PH Hamburg still uses L'Ocitane.
Until a few weeks ago it was Verbena, which I really liked a lot.
Unfortunately they switched to something much "lighter", still L'Ocitane but with olive extracts.
Good quality, but in my opinion nothing special, the former Verbana was much more impressive.

The Park Hyatt Paris – Vendme has changed the Blaise Mautin scent used for the in room toiletries. It is no longer the classic “wet cement” scent, but is now a strong lemon scent packaged in 50 ml crimp bottomed bottles. The general hotel sent is still the classic Blaise Mautin.

Many (much) of the current hotel toiletries are packaged this way - June Jacobs at the GH SF and Kenet MD at the HR Montreal in the last few weeks for example. Even the old Portico products sometimes come with this type of packaging - as far back as the Portico Verbena before the dreaded White Ginger. The bottom is crimped but the rest is basically a non collapsible plastic tube.

Hmm. I still have a number of the "old" version lotions. I wonder what the shelf life of suchlike is? Would anyone familiar with these or such products - scented, if you actually know Blaise Mautin - know? I keep them for gifts, but don't otherwise use lotions. Thank you.

Those who know me know that I love the traditional Blaise Mautin fragrances. I was sorry when it went at PH Washington and I'm even sadder to learn it is going at the PH Vendome. When I use it, it evokes memories of great hotel stays.

Thanks, peteropny.
Neither have any in my remaining stash. I think I've noted upthread that among mine, the color varied a bit - when I got them - in two shades of beige. I don't notice any other difference. I tried to make sure yours were consistent, so as not to even raise the issue.
EDIT: The reason for my question upthread is that now I'm going to hoard them, and give them away one at a time. I think I remember someone estimating that the original perfume scent went for ~ $4,000 the oz. Wonder what it will be when it's no longer available - OK - not likely to last like wine. But the only times that I've checked my rollaboard in a decade are becoming more and more worth it.
I'm just about to work thru all that I got and that kind people (and you know you are one) gifted me. I would guess that the oldest is 6-7 years old. The lotion hasn't separated or broken down in any way.

FWIW, I asked housekeeping at the PHV if they had any of the old scent left and was told no (my stay was May 19 to 23). I was also told that the changeover was "very recent".
I happened to run across a couple of old soaps from the St Regis New York from about a dozen years ago. They used Bijan back then. Pretty much all of the scent is gone now.
Reminder: The scent pumped throughout the hotel is still the old "signature" scent.

I'm surprised to hear about this change, as the Vendome scent is Blaise Mautin's signature scent - PH Vendome must have received a lot of negative feedback from its guests...
In any case, I hope the replacement "lemony" scent is nothing like the awful Blaise Mautin scent for the PH Zurich; that one smelled like a mixture of citrus, lemongrass, and bubble gum to me.

Perhaps it might show up somewhere else. The Cote d'Azure would be a nice fit, maintaining the cach. @:-)

Also disappointed in the change in Blaise Mautin scent. I could smell the old scent upon entering the hotel and the old scent is throughout the hotel and in the room.
Yes, the new scent smells lemony and nice, but I prefer the old one. The turn down lady just checked for me and the hotel does not have any of the old scent left.

Eureka! Knock on the door and someone tells my husband, "Un cadeau pour Madame." Two sets of the old Blaise Mautin toiletries!
SanDiego1K - PM me your address and I will mail them to you. I just want the bath gel and will keep them, but will mail you the shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion.
