Is Hyatt.com down?
 

Hi -

I have not been able to log into Hyatt.com for 4 hours now. Anyone have a reason why?

It's working for me.

I have a constant issue with Hyatt on safari. After enough use it just break and does not work again until cookies are deleted. I assume others have this issue?

I've seen the same on chrome. Usually end up opening an incognito window to get around it

I have the same issue using Firefox, even in incognito.

Hyatt .Com (website not app) Discussion - problems/features wanted/etc

Thought it would be good to have a thread for the Website .Com because international hotel groups often have different programming/features/problems on their .Com vs .App. Also, discussion can be problems, but also features/functionality desired.

Mods: can you consolidate relevant/related threads into .Com (website) and .App (app) and make these "stickys". (as mentioned, separate threads for .App and .Com ). This would be helpful also when contacting Hyatt about desired features / functionality .

Features / functionality desired on .Com
1. Make functionality on .App and .Com the same, so loyalty member doesn't have to remember what things are on one but not the other.

2. Booking (front-end)
a. Flexible Dates tick-box at the starting booking webpage and display rates daily in a Calendar View (just look at Hilton.com, Marriott.com). Benefit: major time-saver
b. when a property is "not available", currently system says "not available and choose other dates". Solution: show a calendar of rates and "-" when not available. Currently must "go back, enter new date" and sometimes repeat several times, which can take substantial time when doing for one property, then another, etc..

c. Map (geographical) booking showing rates Dynamically as scroll/zoom the map -- beneficial/time-saving thanks !! (Marriott.com doesn't show rates and IHG.com have to click again within the new geographic area which have to re-click each time as move the map)

3. Points/nights/milestones crediting (back-end) - no issues at moment

4. Loyalty program/member info/meter/etc - no issues at moment

It looks like there’s an AI integration now. Tried it with “Cheapest Hotels in USA” and sorted low to high — finding some hidden gems for EQN.

Thanks Trouvaille : reminds me of similar search attempts in March (and by the way, i couldn't find "AI-Powered Search", how to get that page on Website ? )

Here are some problems with searching by phrase/words and why: calendar view of rates is still a wanted feature

1. "cheapest hotels in USA" and date set for 1 night: took a couple of minutes of circle cycling around (buildings, suitcase, food cover icons inside circle) gave 100 hotels , sort lowest to highest : takes couple of minutes

2. "cheapest hotels in USA in July" and date was some random 1 night: 3.5 minutes of the circle cycling around and i stopped it

3. "cheapest hotels in USA" and dates set July 1 to July 31 ... many hotels get excluded because if any one night not available it gets excluded. So, need to try with 20 nights, then 10, then 5 , then 2,3,4, etc

4. "cheapest hotels in ___
a. "middle east" ... 0 results ...it doesn't understand middle east or wants to put the worlds "middle east" and remove cheapest hotels
b. "Qatar" ..only 1 night ...search system understands with one country , only 4 properties, didn't need the words "cheapest hotels", just use traditional search on "Qatar"
c. "UAE and Qatar" with 1 night ... search results gave only the 14 UAE hotels
d. "UAE and Qatar in July" ...same list as in c. Doesn't understand two countries and doesn't understand month "july"

5. Back in March , used ChatGPT to search different brands (see screenshots below)
a. cheapest locations/properties: mixed results: Park Hyatt results uninformative; Secrets results not bad
b. Thomson and Standard -- only to learn the Category level, which the lower the Category level more likely to have lower prices


**** Would be useful if could search phrase (or parameters) include any/all of
1. location (country/city) and __km radius
2. dates :month(s) or date range ...and include properties with partial availability (if other criteria met)
3. brands: eg. locations anywhere in the world where the most brands (or minimum of say 4 brands) within some radius eg 100km and exclude oceans/seas (ie islands near coastline)
4. rates: eg lowest, highest within 1-3 above

Was easier to do this with Human Intelligence and brute force eg. use map, knowledge of countries where rates are lower in recent few years, and go to website of specific brand to see its locations in the world ...for example if one of the goals was to stay at several brands ... but again as in original post: some dates not available and would be faster to show rates by calendar month

I don't know if I should classify this as a "dreams come true" or a "miracles do happen" situation, but I can now use the Hyatt website on my laptop (firefox) for the first time in over a year. The only thing I could access with my laptop during that period was the world.hyatt website. The regular hyatt website was just a blank white screen. I had to use my tablet (chrome) to make reservations and look into my account. But even those functions came back in stages over the past 15 or so months. I originally had to call in to make a reservation for a while in the beginning.

And one of the things in the account functions (which seems to be new) is that you can now see your tracked progress for a registered promo. Thank you, Hyatt. I was getting ready to give up on you.

Hmm can't seem to run searches for stays in Las Vegas, while searches at other destinations works fine. If I do Vegas, the page keeps loading for a few mins then errors out, even on mobile app.

I'm in the middle of a 20 night stay (extended 3 times) and the whole stay has disappeared from my account. It's not showing up in past, current or future stays

Hyatt Website Down?
 

The Hyatt website and app have been throwing an error for me for the last few hours. The app says the system is down and the website hangs for a bit before going to a generic error message.
